Vacations make wonderful memories and we would like to be a part of that. For this reason, we are dedicated to make your vacation as special as possible.
Just steps from Ritz Carlton and St Regis, you will enjoy the same beaches as their guests, but rather than to return to a room, you will return to your own home away from home.
Paddle boards(SUP), sea kayaks, hybrid paddle/surfboards, and short and long boards can be rented for the duration of your stay at a very reasonable rate and conveniently stored on the balcony. Even a personalized surf lesson can be arranged (call for availability and cost).
You can stay in and just soak in the beach vibes and watch a movie from our huge selection of DVDs, or grab a book from our collection and go kick back all day on the sand. But, if you are into exploring SoCal, let us offer a few suggestions that will definitely make your visit exciting and memorable:
Surf the world famous Trestles, Salt Creek, and Huntington Beach or go back in time and surf all day on your long board at Old Man's. Finish the day there with a beach bonfire and cookout. On big wave days, check out the dare devils at the Wedge. Doheny is the perfect beach for beginner surfers. You can snorkel, paddleboard, or charter a boat and go deep sea fishing. A free state beach pass is included (with a security) during your stay( valued at $15/day value).
For the nature lovers, try the numerous scenic hiking trails right by the condo in the Headlands Preserve, Catalina Island, botanical gardens, Long Beach Aquarium, zoos, whale watching expeditions, hot air balloon rides, and even a sea lion rescue center just up the road.
For the artsy, visit the many museums in San Diego's Balboa Park. A few mile up the coast, Laguna Beach is filled with art galleries. One of the famous California missions is right in San Juan Capistrano. Also, close by, are many very nice venues for the theaters and arts, including the Saw Dust Festivals and the Pageant of the Masters. In Long Beach, visit the Queen Mary & Spruce Goose. If you like driving, go to LA and catch a play that can rival Broadway's. Check out Hollywood, do some high end shopping at Rodeo Drive, then Old Town Passdena, and visit Huntington Library and Desconso Garden in La Canada.
If you really like road trips, drive north to Santa Barbara and the nearby Hurst Castle, Michael Jackson's Neverland, and the wineries.
Speaking of wineries... There are over 50 in Temecula! Plus, enjoy a ballon ride, visit the western themed Old Town, and win back your day's spendings at the famous Pachanga Casino Resort.
Ladies, there's a really nice premium outlet 30 mins south of here. Just up the road, Laguna beach has many unique and interesting boutiques. Further up in Newport Beach check out the shopping and fun at Fashion Island. A bit further up is the famous Belmont Shore of Long Beach. Finally, get pampered at Glen Ivy in their salt water baths, mineral mud pool, underground grottos, and get a deep tissue massage.
There are many exciting destinations for the kids too. Right outside, they can explore the tide pools, a bit further are Disneyland/California Adventures, and Knotts Berry Farm. Legoland, Seaworld, the San Diego Wild Animal Park, and the San Diego Zoo are just south of here. Universal Studio and Magic Mountain are east of here.
Lastly, for the sports fans, go see the Ducks, the Angels, the Clippers, the Chargers, the Padres, the Kings, and the Lakers play.
If you are overwhelmed by this incomplete list of options, don't feel bad, SoCal is not a place you can cover in a week or two. Even most natives who live and work here never see half of it.
We can provide you a tour guide to make your vacation truly one of a kind. Don't hesitate to contact me, Steve, if I can help(hl2978@hotmail). My goal is to have happy return guests.
