How to get there?:
By airplane: depending on the season directly to Kalamata airport; take a taxi or even better you can rent a car and drive to Koroni; driving time approx. 30 minutes. Alternatively take a flight to Athens International Airport and continue with a rented car on the A6 to Korinthos, Tripolis, Megalopolis, and Messini. Continue through Kalamata to Korini. Driving time approx 4 - 5 hours. By car: Take the ferry boat at Venice or Ancona to Patras. Thereafter through Tripolis to Megalopolis and Messini. Continue through Kalamata to Korini. Driving time from Patras approx. 2,5 hours.
Sightseeing and tours:
Visit Kalamata the capital city, one of the richest and beautiful cities in Greece. Enjoy on Thursdays the Gypsy-market. An experience for everyone. Take a tour to Epidaurus, Sparta, Mykene or Olympia. Visit the historical cities. Walk through Koroni, Finikounda, Pylos or drive through Mani and admire the historical stonehouses. Explore the huge caverns at Pyrgos or take a boat trip to nearby islands, bays and nature wonders.
Special events:
Come along and enjoy a special experience. Be there by mid August and be part of the grape harvest. Produce your own wine. After processing the wine, a few litters will be delivered to you or you can enjoy your wine next year. Or be there by January and be part of the olive harvest. A tough job but afterwards olives will taste a lot better. We invite you to witness this special moments and be part of the celebration.
