Discover a world of yesterday ...: I have to confess, Casa Borgo is not the right place for shopping- and computer-addicted people or those who think Italy that means VIPs and glamorous lifestyle. But just do it as Casa Borgo´s owner. Avoid for a while any phone ringing and traffic noise. Get rid of your usual multitasking and concentrate on a contemplative dolce far niente. Start your holiday in Casa Borgo with a walk to the source 'Moia' with ‘healing water’, used for centuries by the locals. But no fear: the village also has a direct water supply. Meet the locals at the church square, which is now a meadow with a children's playground, because pastor Don Stefano from the 20 km distant Savignone celebrates mess only once a month.

The hamlet Tonno (918 m) is at the end of the Brevenna valley below Monte Antola in a huge nature park about 40 km from Genoa and at the border between the region Liguria and Piemont. Approaching Tonno you can get a first impression of the archaic and untouched landscape bordering the torrent Brevenna, that locals use as an alternative to swimming in the sea. A well-maintained road takes you in just 30 minutes from the noisy civilization into a silence to which the ears of stressed city commuters have yet to get used. Tonno is also ideal for families with children. While the parents take it easy of sunbathing on the roof terrace of Casa Borgo, the youngsters go to the playground in front of the church. Hikers can climb in two hours directly from Tonno on marked paths up to Monte Antola.
