Great location, wonderful view, clean and quiet luxury condo

My wife and I live in Victoria but booked a week here as we're thinking of buying a unit in the building. One of the main reasons for this is the location. This spot is perfectly situated smack in the middle of all the best that Victoria has to offer. The heart of downtown and the city's best restaurants, pubs, shopping and wonderful public amenities like the beautiful inner harbour are just a ten minute walk over the Johnson Street Bridge. But, being separated by the Gorge waterway means that unlike with most downtown hotels you'll leave the noise and bustle of the city behind you when you head home. The building is also situated right at the head of the very popular Galloping Goose trail, a scenic walking/biking trail that meanders all the way from downtown to the northern regions of Sidney and Sooke. A perfect romantic summer evening can be spent by walking the trail over the nearby Trestle bridge, across the Gorge Inlet to the GLO PUB(about 20 minutes). GLO has one of Victoria's most beautiful patios day or night and the food is good overall. On summer nights the patio, which is right on the water, is lit with torches, fairy lights and outdoor heaters.
Right at your door you'll also find a grocery store, liquor store and the wonderful Fol Epi bakery and coffee shop. The neighbourhood is in transition from heavy industrial to urban residential. Remnants of past industrial decades include a shipyard that figures prominently in the view from the wonderful huge balcony. Across the water you'll see plenty of activity at the gravel and cement works, with tugboats and barges drifting lazily up the calm waters of the Gorge to pick up and deliver their loads. The only significant noise we experienced was from the shipyard with plenty of grinding and clanging weekdays from 7 am to 3 pm. Other than that the neighbourhood and the building are very quiet, especially at night. We like to sleep with our windows all open so we did get a little wake up serenade when the shipyard workers started their days, but if you sleep with your bedroom window closed I don't think the noise would be a problem.
Overall we found the view from the balcony mesmerizing, especially on early fall evenings with kayakers, cyclists, and water taxis criss-crossing in the pink evening light.
I haven't even mentioned the suite itself which is ultra modern, with beautiful furnishings and finishings and kept meticulously clean. Perfect location, beautiful suite. We loved our stay!

Outstanding Accomodations and Location!

We had just recently rented this condo for a 4 week period, from July 13th to August 10th, 2014. The condo is absolutely fantastic, and it is truly the best home that we have ever rented in Victoria. We have been renting private homes in Victoria every summer for several years, and we have to say that this condo is by far the best home that we have rented, and we will certainly be returning.

Everything about this home was spectacular:
1) The View!
2) Proximity to the Galloping Goose/Lochside Trail
3) Linens / Towels / Very Comfortable beds
4) Comfortable furniture
5) Local amenities, easily within walking distance (Grocery, Coffee shops, etc.)
6) Inner Harbour, easily within walking distance (12-15 minute walk)
7) Quietness of the building (We never heard anything from the surrounding units!)
8) Kitchen appliances / Utensils / etc.
9) Secured parking / Secured building access
10) Wi-Fi / Netflix access
11) Harbour Taxi access
12) Gym access

We could go on and on about everything that we loved about this home. We will certainly be returning.

If you are looking for a GREAT condo to rent while in Victoria, look no further! It's conveniently located, and you will be within a reasonable walking distance to Victoria attractions, and local amenities, such as: groceries, coffee shops, pharmacy, etc.

Lovely Condo!

This is a lovely condo and I would highly recommend it to anyone! We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed our visit very much. The condo is clean, tastefully decorated, filled with natural light and has a beautiful balcony area to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. The condo faces east so morning sunrises are spectacular and the remainder of the day the balcony is shaded and very comfortable. The bike path trailhead is visible from the balcony and an organic bakery, grocery store, liquor store, etc. are within a 2 block walk. The condo includes underground parking and is within walking distance of downtown Victoria. Nancy, the property manager, was accessible and very helpful. The only critiques I have are the "working" shipyard just outside the condo that is noisy during the weekday and the layers of security within the condo building (fob required to enter two security gates for the parking garage, door to garage elevators, to move up/down in the elevators, and the front door of the building). I can understand a fob to access the building and the parking garage but the additional fob requirements seemed excessive and were inconvenient. The building and neighborhood feel very safe and this level of security seems over the top.

Outstanding Condo

Dockside Green is absolutely perfect. The location is wonderful - just a short walk to the Inner Harbour, but removed enough to be a quiet retreat. The interior of the condo is beautifully decorated, comfortable and spotless, with views from both bedrooms, the kitchen, the living room and dining area. The den can be used as a third bedroom for one. Enjoy kayaking, riding, walking or running on the Galloping Goose trail from your doorstep or spend the day watching the action on the working harbour from the large deck. The views are spectacular, both of the boats during the day, and the Inner Harbour lights at night. You can't go wrong by contacting the very helpful Nancy, and booking Dockside Green.

A Great Condo!!!!

My wife and I are recently retired and just spent a month at this wonderful condo to celebrate. The unit is very bright and beautifully decorated. The view from the deck of the upper harbor and downtown is quite amazing with never ending activity with the rowing clubs, kayakers and canoeists, dragon boats, and floatplanes flying by as well as the ongoing work in the shipyard below. The kingsize bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. The condo's close proximity to downtown (a 15 minute walk to the Keg restaurant on Wharf and Fort Street); and just a 5 minute walk to a SaveOn grocery store was a huge plus. We did not have a car so the close proximity to restaurants and groceries was a big bonus. There is a great bakery and coffee shop literally just a few hundred feet away (you can see it from the deck); Beautiful walking trails either along the Galloping Goose trail or the Songhees trail along the inner harbor are only minutes away. We would definitely stay here again. A great value! Nancy, the property manager, was amazing and did everything possible to make our stay a comfortable and memorable vacation.

A Condo With A View

We spent 13 nights in this beautiful condo, and feel that it is definitely 5 star. The owner has decorated the condo so that when you walk in there really is a "wow" factor. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything you need. The beds were very comfortable, and the entire place immaculate. We did rent a car, but it really isn't necessary because everything is a short walk away. I would definitely recommend this rental to others. The property manager, Nancy, was very helpful and efficient. We would definitely like to return. The memories of sitting on the deck watching the kayakers in the harbour was a very special time for us.
