About The Owner
I have owned several vacation resorts over the years, from Cape Cod to Florida. I have always appreciated water and have tried to make what I love about the water and a particular place available to the occasional traveler who might enjoy the area but can't live here.
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2000
Why The Owner chose Madeira Beach
I drove by this property by boat and saw them placing a For Sale sign on these cute, quaint cottages -- a picturesque snap-shot of old Florida. With 180 feet along the waterfront and the cottages nestled among the trees, I was smitten. I bought the property that day!
What makes this cottage unique
Terrific location in a part of Florida that is not as 'developed' as numerous parts of Florida. Madeira Beach is a unique community in that it is a mix of locals and visitors and is not over-taken with runaway development. For the people who appreciate 'Old Florida' -- what a plus that is! We are close to both St. Petersburg and Tampa with all the hubbub and restaurants that brings. We are also in an area of wonderful boating, fishing, swimming, and viewing nature. First time kayakers can learn the basics, have a great time, AND be safe. That is not true of kayaking many places.
