Whether you are traveling for work or pleasure, this rental will more than meet your needs. It's private, quiet and cozy.
I grew up in the mountains of the North West. I love city living but require easy escape to forests and natural water. My neighborhood provides the perfect mix.
I travel for work and pleasure. I've used VRBO properties in Spain, France and throughout the USA.
I'm an enthusiastic gardener. My entire front and side yard is a garden of plants native to MN.
I enjoy meeting people and exchanging stories about life's adventures. I look forward to sharing all that Minneapolis has to offer with new friends.
My Arts & Crafts home was built in 1906. The rooms are large and cozy. It greets you with a front yard garden and an all season porch.
I can walk, run or bike around Lake of the Isles or I can pull my kayaks to the lake and paddle to Calhoun and Brownie lakes. It's easy to escape to get back to nature.
I walk to the grocery store, drug store, liquor store, hair salon, and my doctor. The only time I use my car is to shuttle my 14 yr old son to his basketball tournaments.
Sister weekend in the city! We wanted to stay in Uptown, and since there are no hotels, went to VRBO. First VRBO experience, and it was wonderful. So much better than a hotel! Really cute space. Loved the bathroom and the bed was really comfortable. :)
We enjoyed our stay in uptown! This apartment is on the top floor of a beautiful uptown home. In order to get to it, you have to walk up 2 flights of stairs through the center of the home. Twylia is great, so running into her often wasn't an issue. She's really nice and accommodating, and gives good suggestions of places to go. My two year old LOVED Lucky the dog, taking frequent walks to all of the parks, and riding the bus around town. My husband and I enjoyed running around the lakes in the morning. It's really a beautiful area and convenient to everything. The apartment itself was a nice place to stay for the week. The bedroom is beautiful and spacious. The living area was a bit tight, but since we were mostly outside, it didn't bother us too much. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay!
We had a great visit to the area and enjoyed the beautiful charm of the Lake of the Isles. Twaila, Adele and Lucky were great hosts! The home was as described and very comfortable. We traveled with our golden retriever, and he had a great time in the back yard with Lucky, going for walks around the lake and visiting dog friendly restaurants. Look forward to staying here again.
While friends have recommended vrbo for traveling with kids, this was the first time we tried it and, if all owners are like Twylia, we'll be using it for many more. We often pay top prices for suites in hotels so that we can have adult time when the children are asleep, but it was so nice to stay somewhere that felt like home. Our 7 year old and 3 year old shared one of the rooms, and there is plenty of space for another kid or 2. The rooms were immaculate, the house utterly charming, and Twylia was very helpful in our coordinating transportation to a wedding. We used their babysitting services and they were great. It's a month later and my 3 year old was talking about how Twylia gave him breakfast for dinner! Twylia recommended great activities for our kids, including an artist designed mini-golf course at the Walker, but my 7 year old's highlight of the trip was spending time with "Lucky" the dog of the house while we were out at the wedding. We'll be back when we have more time to use the owner's kayaks and explore the shops and restaurants of this great neighborhood.
The apartment was very clean and welcoming. It was comfortable and quiet, yet just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Hennepin Ave. A very convenient and central location less than five minutes to access Hwy 94 by car. Just two blocks from the apartment there is a lovely grocery store with high quality prepared foods for people on the go as well as many coffee shops and restaurants. My husband and I are from the Twin Cities and now live north of Boston. It was a pleasure to stay in one of the nicest neighborhoods in the city and so close to Lake of the Isles rather than a generic hotel. Twylia was a very good host and we will definitely stay in her rental apartment again on a future trip back to visit family and friends!
The perfect spot to be when vacationing in Minneapolis! I had my morning walks around the lake to start each day. Very convenient to shopping, grocery, coffee shops, restaurants and Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun. The rental was very clean and quiet and looked just like the photos posted. Oh such a sweet space, like you are sleeping in the trees. I will stay here
Walking distance to the natural scenic beauty of Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun as well as shops and restaurants. Easy access to the Walker, Institute of Art, Design Center, State Theater, Orpheum, Pantages, Guthrie and Children's Theater. Steps from mass transit to downtown, Target Center/Field, and Vikings Stadium. Less than a mile access to 35W, 94 and 394. Fantastic location!
