Overview

Glenwood Springs House Rental Photos and Description

GREAT HOME FOR COUPLES AND FAMILIES!

Nestled against Red Mountain, this home is conveniently located in a private neighborhood near downtown Glenwood Springs. Shops, restaurants and the world famous Glenwood Hot Springs Pool are within arms reach as well as many other exciting activities our great town has to offer!

Outdoor adventures, hiking and biking trails as well as scenic riverside parks and playgrounds are nearby and very easily accessible by foot. For winter sport enthusiasts, skiing and snowboarding can be enjoyed at Sunlight Mountain Resort, 12 miles south, and in Aspen and Vail, just a short 50 minute drive away.

This custom 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom contemporary home is truly special! A combination of custom finishes, new furniture and that warm welcoming feeling guarantees a most comfortable stay. Its vaulted ceilings, skylights and large windows provide great views and plenty of natural light! Air conditioning and a wood-burning stove ensure extra comfort year round. Cable and DVDs can be enjoyed on Plasma and LCD TVs and the stereo system combined with WiFi and Airplay can play your favorite tunes and shows. Netflix and iTunes are available with your own privileges.

The kitchen is everyone’s favorite part of the house! It is a custom, gourmet, eat-in kitchen with seating for 8 and large windows to enjoy the view of Red Mountain. During warmer months, llamas can be seen grazing the hillside! It is an inspiring place to create your favorite meals for your family and friends. The kitchen is well stocked and has spacious countertops, modern, state of the art appliances, double ovens, and a flat screen television. Preparing meals is made easy and fun!

A single serving Keurig coffee machine offers a complimentary carousel of coffee and tea.

The entire upper level is a private master suite including a spacious bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet and a small laundry room. It is nicely furnished with a king size bed with a luxurious down comforter and feather pillows. A rollaway single bed offers an additional sleeping accommodation.

The gas fireplace and mini fridge are just steps away from a large soaking tub in the bedroom. Bathrobes and bath salts are provided to make your stay luxurious and memorable. Perfect for a romantic getaway!

The second bedroom on the main level is comfortably furnished with a queen size bed with a down comforter and feather pillows. A futon can accommodate two extra people.

The living room has a queen sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress for added comfort.

The open floor plan of the main level provides a great space to gather with family and friends. The dining room has a seating capacity for 6, and for 10 upon request. The deck has additional seating for 6 and a propane BBQ grill.

We welcome children but are not considered child proof due to stairs, unlocked cabinets and exposed receptacles. We offer some toys, kids books and crayons and will provide a pack and play and high chair upon request.

We occupy a private basement residence on site and will gladly answer any questions you may have or offer assistance.

Due to a SEVERE PEANUT ALLERGY in our family, we request that NO PEANUT PRODUCTS are brought into the vacation home. Alternative product suggestions will be gladly provided. If the home has been exposed to peanut products, please notify us so that extra cleaning procedures can be performed. We apologize for any inconvenience but greatly appreciate your understanding. Please feel free to call or email me with any further questions.

About Kate Dehm

We came to this valley on vacation years ago and fell in love with it! We've lived here now for twenty some years and we still enjoy the small town feel, the mountains, and all of the activities in and around Glenwood Springs.

Kate Dehm purchased this house in 1998

Why Kate Dehm chose Glenwood Springs

We acquired this property in 1998 and have been renovating it ever since. A lot of hard work and long hours have been invested in this house, including our latest addition, an amazing custom kitchen, with its plum red cabinets and oversized windows. We really enjoy watching the llamas graze on the beautiful hillside, or storms rumbling in across the mountain.

What makes this house unique

This house is located in a private, quiet neighborhood with lots of open space, mature trees and mountain views. It feels far removed from the hustle and bustle, but yet is only a stone throw away from downtown. It's an ideal location!

Wonderful Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this home. Huge kitchen, large & comfortable living room, great big tv for cuddling up and watching movies. Beds are all very comfortable, and the best part is the HUGE bath tub in the upstairs master. We'll be back for sure!

Fantastic home!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful home. We can't wait to come back. It was perfect for our family and had everything we needed. Katie, the owner, was very helpful and responded back immediately with any questions I had prior to our stay. It was close to everything and a great get away place. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Great escape from the city

  • 5 of 5

A couple of girlfriends and I celebrated a long awaited weekend getaway and this location was perfect! The house was fully equipped to handle 5-7 people. We never ran out of hot water or dishes. The neighbors were really nice and I would highly recommend staying here.

Great location. It really is nestled up against the mountain. Quiet street. The road to get to Sunlight Moutain for skiing is very close by.Kitchen is fully equipped and perfect for entertaining. Katie had a pack n play, highchair and toys to accommodate my toddler. The fireplace and spa in the master suite were very relaxing after a day of skiing. Will be back again!

Perfect house for All Seasons

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent an entire month in this beautiful home. The location is ideal- close enough to walk to the heart of Glenwood Springs with its restaurants, shops and the famous Hot Springs. It's also an easy drive to some of Colorado's best skiing (Aspen/Snowmass/Highlands- 35 minutes, Beaver Creek/Vail- 50 minutes, and our favorite, Sunlight- 20 minutes).

The kitchen is incredible ... heated floor, beautiful cabinetry, top-of-the-line appliances, and everything we needed to prepare meals for our visiting family and friends. The master suite (king sized bed) includes a soaking tub, shower with twin vanities, a large walk-in closet, and a laundry room. Sheets, towels, and bedding are of the finest quality . We found it very comfortable, much like a luxury hotel. The quest bedroom was comfortable for our 3 young adults, and there was room for a few more on the sleeper sofa. Unlike many "sterile" rentals, this home had lovely artwork, books, magazines, a large collection of audio CDs, flat screen TVs, Apple TV, and a reliable high-speed internet connection. After only a few days it felt like "home".

If you are considering a stay in Glenwood Springs book this place early!

Finally, the owners (who are on site), couldn't have been more pleasant and accommodating.
