Tudor Manor House is a Grade II listed building, built by the Monks of Glastonbury in 1489. It still retains it's grandeur and many period features, including a Tudor fireplace, chandeliered ceilings and four-poster beds. It is surrounded by 20 acres of informal gardens and grounds and provides magnificent views across the Somerset Levels towards the Mendip Hills. An amazing venue and setting available for private hire, enabling family and friends to gather together.
The house is only rented for exclusive use so it is entirely yours for as long as you would like it. It is a unique Medieval Manor noted for its warmth and hospitality. Guests will be greeted in the magnificent Great Hall where in the winter a log fire provides a warm welcome, and in the summer extensive lawns prove a delightful setting for a drinks reception.
Interior and Grounds:
Tudor Manor House offers four large reception rooms comprising of The Great Hall with comfortable leather Chesterfields and large open fire, Georgian dining room with floor to ceiling windows offering calming views of the Somerset Levels, smaller Abbott's Suite room used either as a second dining area or lounge and bar area with woodburner.
The house offers a fully equipped kitchen with two large gas ranges, two large commercial fridges, dishwasher facilities, microwaves and sufficient crockery, cutlery and glassware is provided.
There are 12 elegant bedrooms all individually decorated and furnished to provide a very comfortable and peaceful haven, accommodating a maximum sleeping capacity of twenty four guests. All have en-suite facilities from roll top baths to large walk in double showers. High quality bed linen and towels are provided.
From every window there are magnificent uninterrupted views across the rolling Somerset countryside and peace and tranquillity that is hard to find in today’s busy world.
Guests can enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn or a stroll around the grounds, and for the less energetic you may simply relax under the magnificent cedar trees with a glass of cold wine soaking up the atmosphere. Extensive lawns provide a delightful setting for a drinks reception before sitting down to a sumptuous dinner.
