Overview

Leicester Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Mountain Getaway

Located on 4 acres of natural wooded property with long range stunning mountain views, Worley Cove is the perfect base for your mountain getaway! Just far enough out of Asheville that it has that secluded rustic Appalachian feel but close enough to enjoy everything Asheville has to offer on a daily basis!

Whether your goal is to get away from everything and enjoy the quiet solitude of the beautiful mountains and country roads that surrounds this cabin or you want a good starting point from which to experience all the Asheville area and Great Smokey mountains, Worley Cove is great for either (or both!). Rest and Relaxation or Mountain Adventure... Take your pick!

From Worley Cove it is an easy, beautiful drive of less than 30 min to any of the following (and mostly less): downtown Asheville, the Blueridge Parkway, rafting, hiking, the Biltmore House, rock climbing, Pisgah National Forest, fishing, museums, local arts and crafts, shopping, golfing, and much much more!

All that said, you may not want to leave. Worley Cove is a beautifully appointed, rustic feeling log cabin that has plenty of room to explore around it and big decks with comfortable chairs that make it pretty easy to just lounge about! The floor to ceiling windows allow you the beautiful mountain views.

Wake up in the predawn mountain fog and watch the sun rise over the smokey mountains from your giant four post king size bed! The master suite also has an enormous jetted jacuzzi tub!

The two other queen size bedrooms are comfortable and roomy.

Just outside, there is a giant fire pit big enough for the entire family to hang around and cook hotdogs and smores!

We absolutely love it here and know you will too!

About Kathi Wilcox Bettis

We live in the Virgin Islands where we operate a sailing charter business most of the year. However, during hurricane season, we shut our doors and come spend some time up north with family! This is our 'home away from home'!

We absolutely adore Worley Cove and think you will too!

Kathi Wilcox Bettis purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Kathi Wilcox Bettis chose Leicester

We wanted something around Asheville so that we could be near family when we were in North Carolina. One of us wanted a further out, more secluded property and one of us wanted something closer to downtown Asheville. Worley Cove was the perfect compromise. We loved the property when we first saw it and love it even more today!

What makes this cabin unique

We love the rustic feel of Worley Cove. Every bit of it is wood and every bit of it was built with TLC! The whole south face of the house is windows facing beautiful mountain views. We love waking up in the fog and then watching the sunrise. We love the surrounding area and to walk the country road that the house is on almost daily. Barns, fields and mountains all around!

We love hanging out with friends around the big fire pit and having a coffee or beer out on the big deck.

There is a group of feral peacocks around that we love to listen to as well! Sometimes they even come to visit.

Guestbook comments from the manager

This was a perfect home for me, my girlfriend and another couple to enjoy the mountains for a long weekend. Absolutely loved the setup of the house, back deck, huge wood fireplace and views of the mountains. Having the master upstairs and waking up to those views out of the large picture windows is priceless. The home had absolutely everything you need to hole up and stay for a week along with a short, beautiful drive to Asheville for some fun. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to the mountains if available!

Excellent Stay

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I just stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The cabin is very clean and comfortable with all the amenities one would need to have a nice time. The gravel road to the cabin can be a bit rough and steep if you are not used to it, but other than that, we had no issues at all. Kat is very attentitive and has is an excellent communicator. In the driving directions, it implies the two Ingles (for grocery shopping) are 6 miles apart, when in fact I think they are much closer, so keep an eye out when driving in that the second (and preferred Ingles) comes up rather quickly. The grill was great as was the bed (very comfortable) in the master bedroom. The large windows and general cleanliness will bring us back!!

Loved every bit of it!!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spend our honeymoon at this cabin and loved every bit of it!!!! The sunlight through the big windows in the morning is incredible! The drive into Asheville is actually pretty enjoyable and the grocery store is only 10-15 minutes down the road. The fully stocked kitchen was very helpful and made it easy to just eat meals in the cabin if we didn't feel like heading into town. We were sad to go but we highly recommend it!!!!

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

One of the most relaxing weekends I've had in a long time. The cabin is quaint and comfortable inside and out. The views are beautiful and incredibly enjoyable from the porch and fire pit. Perfect location to be away from Asheville, but easily drive into town for food and entertainment. We stayed home most of the time because we didn't have a reason to leave. Will be back again soon.

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful mountain chalet more than met my expectations. I love the Blue Ridge Mountains and the area surrounding Asheville North Carolina. The mountain view from the terrace is absolutely spectacular, and serene, with the beautiful fall colors and the distant sound of cattle grazing. The home is gorgeous and cozy, built and adorned with wood, stone and an amazing fireplace. Everything you could possibly need in the way of amenities is available, due to the sweet and caring owners of this property. My five guests and I were so pleased that we have all agreed to return for another beautiful retreat in this mountain paradise chalet.

Excellent house

  • 5 of 5

We highly recommend this house. Very comfortable, great deck for morning and evening enjoyment of the surrounding mountains. House is well equipped and in top shape. Easy to find and 20-25 minutes to Asheville. Ate in most nights. Fire at night and watched some of the movies on hand. Fans in the house helped cool down the temp from the sun shining in the floor to ceiling window and good throws for the chilliness at night. Blue ridge parkway is close by. Also went to the biltmore- recommend a visit there.

Great Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 9 days enjoying this cabin. The views from the deck are great while relaxing taking in the scenery and tranquility. The sky at night was brilliant and we were able to clearly see the milky way and star gaze. Fireplace and fire pit were must have's on our list and this cabin did not disappoint! The cabin was well stocked with everything you may need - we put the wine glasses to good use with Biltmore wine and grilling on the deck! (The Biltmore is worth a day exploring - very nice) The roads leading to the cabin are half the fun - winding and mountains but easily driven. The location is close to Asheville and all activities while still having the feel of being away from everything. Asheville is a busy town and offers many options. We planned a trip to enjoy the leaves, cool weather and just relaxing. This location was the correct choice for us! Kat was helpful and an easy phone call away if anything needed.
