Permanent residents of Florida, who enjoy the Florida sunshine. Bought the property in Weeki Wachee to enjoy boating and fishing year round.

We bought the property in Weeki Wachee due to its location away from it all. Waterfront property lends to a relaxing atmosphere. Love to sit on the dock, drink coffee and watch manatees and turtles swim by or fish jump out of the water all the way down the canal. When we are ready to go boating, we just step off our dock into our boat and we are on our way to explore the surrounding areas. Love to travel to Homosassa and visit Monkey Island or head south and visit New Port Richey and eat at Hooters or the Crab Shack on the water. There is a beautiful island with white sandy beaches just outside of New Port Richey that is a great place to dock the boat and have a picnic named Enclove Key.
Weeki Wachee is a natural spring river with water temperatures year round at 72 degrees. Manatees thrive in the river due to its warm winter temperatures. We even seen dolphins in the river. The water in the river is crystal clear and enjoyed by canoes, tubers, paddle boarders, kayakers and motorboats.
Weeki Wachee is centrally located to visit other places by car or boat. Weeki Wachee park is world famous for seeing the live mermaids. Tarpon Springs is south and has a wonderful waterfront greek village with great food and world famous sponge docks. Homosassa has a wildlife park and many great places to eat on the water. Crystal river is just north of homosassa and is also a great place to visit and explore.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this home with my husband and it was nothing but spectacular. We brought our boat to use for the 4 days we were staying to go fishing and we caught lots of fish! The home is nice and spacious, definitely room for us to bring friends the next time we visit. The area is nice and quiet with very friendly neighbors. Planning the visit was very easy thanks to the owners who were very helpful and organized. The home is very clean, I felt very comfortable using all of the equipment and kitchenware. We plan on coming back very soon as this has been our favorite VRBO vacation house.
