#105 is a beautifully renovated studio unit at The Napili Bay Resort. Located on the sand of Napili Bay Beach with unobstructed views of Molokai and Lanai, you simply can't get any closer to the surf than this!
Start the day with pancakes at The Gazebo Restaurant, located just south along the water. During whale season it’s almost impossible to NOT see a whale! Then, grab your snorkeling gear and head out into the ocean. You’ll soon be face to face with Hawaiian Honu (turtles) and schools of colorful reef fish. Also be sure to explore the tide pools on either side of the beach. If the guys are out renting surf and stand-up paddle boards, the waters of Napili Bay are the perfect place to find your inner Duke Kahanamoku.
Take a trip along Honoapi’ilani Rd (the low road) to The Honokowai Farmers Market and grocery (about 3 miles) for the islands freshest produce. The guacamole is amazing and a bunch of the apple bananas are a must try. Head another block south to the Fish Market Maui for some fresh-caught local fish. Try a tub of the Hawaiian poke (marinated ahi tuna). It goes great with the guacamole you bought and you now have everything for pu’pu’s (appetizers) on the beach. Cook your fish on one of the resorts gas grills and enjoy your meal at one of the nicely shaded picnic tables or take it back to your lanai and watch the sun set on paradise.
Inside #105 you will find everything needed for a comfortable stay. Brazilian cumaru teak wood floors, furnishings and cabinets, ice-stone counter-tops, top of the line appliances, Queen-sized Tempur-Pedic mattress, high thread-count sheets, flat screen TV, Blu ray DVD/CD player, Tune-In internet radio, and Airplay from an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, free Wi-Fi, reverse-osmosis water filtering system (Yay! no lugging bottles from Costco!) Ice-stone countertops, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and more.
We called West Maui our home for 2 years where our 3 children attended Maui Prep (GO PUEO'S!)
After 2 years in the Seattle area, we now reside in south Florida.
Jenny Hickory purchased this condo in 2010
There is nothing like Napili Bay! It's the perfect beach vacation.
The beautiful milo nut tree on the beach in front of our unit provides a wonderful shady spot on a sunny day. There are those who say that the beautifully grained milo wood utensils, furnishings and jewelry were only for the chiefs of ancient Hawai`i. It is told that the Waikiki home of Kamehameha I was surrounded by milo trees.
We joked to people that our biggest complaint about this spot was the fact that the sound of the ocean was waking us up at night. It really did, so keep the shutters closed. Other than that, I can't think of anything else to complain about. It's newly remodeled, right on the beach and in a fantastic spot on the island. If you can afford it, stay here.
I would highly recommend this property, it was very well finished out and I especially appreciated the high quality of the kitchen equipment and appliances. It was unseasonably hot the week we were there and so the condo got pretty warm in the afternoons. But not miserably so. The beach was amazing - we sat next to a couple who said they were from the other side of Maui but traveled to Napili beach to celebrate his birthday because it was their favorite spot on the island. Personally, I loved the tree that was right in front of the unit - it was the most coveted spot on the beach in the afternoons. I would book this unit again and highly recommend it to others.
This property was great for just me and my husband. If we had wanted to we could have just stayed here all week . We ate breakfast and drank coffee on the lanai every morning, which has a great view of Napili Bay. It has very nice high end updates to the kitchen and bath. The bed was very comfortable. Be prepared for the ocean (sometimes a bit loud ) lulling you to sleep because the windows are slatted screens. It has great beach access. No driving to a beach to go swimming, snorkeling or floating on the condo's boogie boards, it's all right there. The beach was never overly crowded, a mix of families and people of all ages. Really loved this beach. If you want to shop for food,T-shirts and reasonable lunch go north to the Kapalua general store. They have a deli, liqueur store , coffee bar, and anything else you would need. You don't have a pool but other than that we really enjoyed this condo. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
We had a fantastic time staying at this condo in Napili! The condo itself was excellent. It was remodeled beautifully and had an unbeatable view. Right when you walk into the condo you see that beautiful blue water right through the gorgeous wood shutters. Pure paradise. You're right on the beach at stunning Napili Bay. You can hear the waves every night before going to sleep and waking up every morning. It doesn't get better then that! We hope to be able to stay in the same condo the next time we visit. Towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. all supplied for your convenience. Loved, loved, loved this unit and can't wait to come back!
Thank you so much for everything!
You just can't beat falling asleep to the sound of the surf!
This studio is gorgeous with really nice upscale styling. Everything is new, shiny and clean. Condo is very well equipped with everything we needed for making breakfasts and an occasional dinner. The lanai is literally "on the beach".
The beach here at Nipilli Bay is fantastic with really fun waves. Much less crowded than other West Maui beaches we visited. Snorkeling Nipilli Bay is just average. Take the 3 min drive around the corner to Kapalua Bay where the snorkeling is incredible. We got a lot of use out the beach chairs and boogie boards ;-) Boogie boarding is fun here at Nipilli, but even better at nearby Slaughterhouse Beach. Your mileage may vary… snorkeling and wave conditions change with the seasons.
I would highly recommend this unit. This is an awesome West Maui location. Away from the hordes of tourists in Lahaina and Ka'anapalli. We had excellent seafood dinners at Sea House and Merrimans, both about a 3 minute drive away. Maui Taco in Nipilli rocks too!
My girlfriend and I just returned about 2 weeks ago and have been missing it since day one!. We had never stayed in Napili Bay but knew of it is a beautiful sandy private like beach we wanted to try out. Huge pleasant surprise, never expected such gorgeous sunsets and great tropical Hawaiian feel. Stayed many times in Kanapali... It didn't compare! Never felt crowded but busy enough for great people watching. The pictures can't possibly describe the feeling when we opened the plantation shutter windows on our 1st morning (we arrived at night) and realized we were sitting right on the beach waking up to the waves crashing the shore. It truly felt like we were sleeping on a boat. The surrounding community is great, with excellent restaurants within a 2 minute walk up or down the beach or 2 minute drive into Kapalua. A perfect location with easy access to West Maui attractions and short drive to Lahaina. We spent most of our time enjoying the incredible beach and made a ritual walking 20 feet from our deck, dropping lawn chairs, snacking on wine and cheese taking pictures at every point of the sunset. The condos in Napilli, including the Napilli Bay, have a vintage old school Hawaiian feel that is amazing. This particular one has been remodeled perfectly. The custom cabinets and teak floors are much better in person with high-end appliances, a comfy bed and glass tile shower. Great care and detail in this remodel! Had a couple of rainy days, very comfortable chilling in the condo with a large flatscreen, surround sound system and Blu-ray. So fun to grill up fresh fish with the outdoor barbecue everybody is friendly and seems to understand they found a gem :-). The grounds were kept beautifully with lots of palms, and lush tropicals. Such an amazing trip we will never forget! Definitely heading back soon!! Had a chance to peek in some other units did not see anything nearly as well finished and the best beachfront location, assuming you want to be 5 feet from the sand.
Thanks for some awesome memories!
Napili Bay is west Maui's hidden gem of 'real Hawaii'. Removed from the noise and congestion of high-rise hotels, this lush, tropical paradise welcomes you to explore its beaches, hike the nearby Kapalua trails and enjoy nearby dining options ranging from Sushi and local barbeque to Macadamia nut pancakes while whale watching.
