Woodstock House Rental Photos and Description
4 BR, 2.5 Bath, Professionally Decorated Luxury Home with Waterfalls
NOTE: 25% off foliage bookings of 4 days or more for all stays through October 19th! Located just south of the Woodstock Country Club golf course off of Route 106, Maplewoods is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath professionally decorated luxury home located just two miles from the Woodstock Village Green. Maplewoods sits on five acres of private forest on a gentle hillside, with miles of surrounding woods waiting to be explored. On the north side of the house, just off the flagstone patio and fire pit, a babbling brook runs in a series of beautiful waterfalls down the hillside, creating the perfect 'soundtrack' for your Vermont stay. Feel free to sit and watch and listen to the beautiful waterfalls, or, if you'd like to, just climb in and splash around yourself!
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO VIEW THE VIDEO OF THESE WATERFALLS! If you scroll down our listing, below 'Owner Info' and above the 'Photos' section at the bottom, you'll see 'Links to more information:' Click on the link below that heading and you'll see a video of our daughter playing and splashing in the waterfalls that run along the north side of the house.
On the west side of the house, the front lawn gently slopes down the hill and presents a beautiful view of the farm and hillsides on the other side of the valley. Maplewoods has two master bedroom suites with king sized memory foam/gel beds. The Maplewoods suite is an oversized master with a sitting area, office/library, and en suite bathroom with a two person jetted tub. The River Suite (my favorite, when we sleep with the windows open) sits on the north side of the house, near the waterfalls running down the side of our hill. (That sound gives me the best sleep of my life!) Both master suites have large flat screen televisions with cable. Maplewoods has two additional large bedrooms upstairs. The Sweet Dreams room has a queen sized bed and the Victorian room has two twins with antique headboards.
Maplewoods has a large, modern, and well equipped chef's kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including a built in wine chiller and a television to watch the morning news. We have stocked our kitchen with high end cookware, knives, etc, providing all the equipment and utensils you need to create your own gourmet meals with Vermont's natural bounty. An elegant eight person dining table provides the perfect setting for your feast in the dining room. For more casual meals, the kitchen's granite breakfast bar provides seating for those who want to chat with the cook while waiting for their pancakes.
Off the back of the open breakfast bar sits a comfortable hearth / living room warmed by our wood burning fireplace. This room opens on to the spacious deck with comfortable patio dining for eight. The deck sits on the north side of the house, next to the babbling waterfalls running down the hill, providing an excellent setting for a relaxing outdoor meal. Also downstairs is a spacious family / entertainment room with a large flat screen television and plenty of comfy seating. We have another casual gaming / dining area centered around a gorgeous, hand scraped, rich hardwood table. This is a perfect location for sharing a bottle of wine, a rousing game of clue, and a few hands of poker (or 'go fish.')
We have taken great care to create a supremely luxurious, professionally decorated, yet eminently comfortable setting for you to enjoy on your Vermont vacation. We invite you to stay in our vacation home and enjoy the peaceful woods, babbling waterfall, and glorious views that made us fall in love with Vermont ourselves.

We are a happily married couple with a 12 year old boy and 9 year old girl. Having lived in Texas for many years, we now consider Woodstock, Vermont our 'heart home' (although we have to commute back to Texas for forty-something weeks a year to work!)
We first visited Vermont in 2006. Within minutes of crossing the state line, we found ourselves stopping the car every 5 minutes to stop, get out, and gawk at the natural beauty and wonders! The first time we visited Woodstock, we felt like we were walking into a Norman Rockwell painting. After looking for the perfect vacation home for at least two years, we finally found Maplewoods. Peaceful and secluded, nestled into the side of Dunham Hill, Maplewoods sits alongside the babbling waterfall that runs down the side of the hill. Although nestled into many acres of beautiful woods just ripe for exploration, we love the fact that we are just south of the Woodstock Country Club golf course and only two miles from the historic Woodstock Village Green. We have worked VERY hard to create a supremely luxurious home that is just as livable as it is beautiful.
