Dinan House Rental Photos and Description
Large lounge, kitchen diner, four bedrooms, two ensuite, terraced patio garden
The House is situated on the cobbled Rue du Petit Fort which winds up from the port and marina to the gate in the mediaeval town walls and into rue Jerzual and then into the old town centre. The town has every shop you could need including traditional boucheries, patisseries etc., and a daily covered market. The huge weekly market is in Place du Guesclin, 10 minutes from the house, every Thursday. Restaurants and creperies are everywhere, with the closest 50 metres from the house.
The ground floor of the house has a very spacious sitting room with lounge seating for 8 and a log fire, free internet, TV and telephone. The sitting room connects with a fully equipped kitchen diner having a table which can seat 10
Upstairs on the first floor there are two double bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities and a further two bedrooms with their own bathroom on the second floor.
The terraced patio garden has a barbecue and garden seats for 8.
Easy and cheap Car Parking: Because Dinan is such an ancient and historic site, the town was not built with the motor car in mind. Recognising this, the city authorities have provided a profusion of free or low cost car parks within easy walking distance of all parts of the historic walled town. It is possible to park on the street in marked bays on Rue du Rocquet 100 metres from the house and another park at a similar distance in Rue Michel. We usually park in the underground car park at 'Centre Historique' which is 8 minutes walk away. This year we are providing renters with the benefit of a parking permit, free of charge, for this car park at Centre Historique (details of location in information at the house).

Guestbook comments from the owner
We have had a wonderful week in Dinan! Our home away from home has served us very well - comfortable, cozy and close to some of the most stunning historical places we've seen. This place makes a great home base that allowed us to walk to places in town and visit interesting places in town and visit interestinf places further afield. Dinan is charming and tranquil - as is Lehon just South. Mont St. Michel is spectacular! St. Malo incredibly interesting and important. Our boys (and us) loved fort la Latte. Ile de Brehat is beautiful. Combourg and Rennes interesting. By far the most meaningful journeys were North. We loved the architecture which is nearly beyond comprehension for our era.
Tricia (local manager) is lovely and available to help! Hope to return again.
