The Farmhouse 'Casa sotto la Torre' is located in the shadow of the medieval clock tower, is still running.

Immersed in the green of the chestnut trees that surround the entire country.

The farmhouse is divided into two houses: 'House House Land and Sky'.

Completely exposed to the south offer, from their windows, a view that has no equal, where, below, nestled between tall trees is the old church in the country.

The first document that refers to Boveglio dates back to 757 AD The town is surrounded by walls and has a very rich artistic heritage, dominated by the imposing clock tower, which was also the medieval tower for spotting of the enemy armies. The farmhouse' Casa sotto la torre', is located at a height of 780, is like a gem set in the nature of Toscany. The house have be made out of an old farmhouse from the late 1700s, and have been recently renovated keeping the characteristics of Tuscan architecture intact, with original features such as beams, stone walls and visible terracotta ceiling tiles. The original furnischings have been skilfully restored and completed with arte povera furniture, giving the two houses a unique atmosphere, where the old the new are perfectly integrated, giving you at the same time all the necessary commodities.

They offer possibility to visit all the major cities of art such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo...not forgetting the wonderful mountain area of Garfagnana, that's so rich in old medieval towns. Nearby, in the town of Collodi, it's possible to visit the park of the world's most famous puppet Pinocchio.... an event that the youngsters shouldn't loose.... and a unique occasion for the not so young too!!!!

Have just returned from an 11 day stay at this wonderful farmhouse. The house is beautifully furnished. It feels like you are stepping back in time and yet has every modern convenience you could require. The views from the windows are breathtaking and were just as compulsive on the last day of our stay as the first.
The drive up to the village is much easier than I thought it was going to be and the drive down to Bagni di Lucca has magnificent views and is great fun round the hairpin bends. Even for someone who suffers terribly from vertigo like myself!
The beautiful mountain village lets you feel remote from the world but it is really easy to access all the sights of Tuscany. During our relatively short stay we visited Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Chianti country, Pistoia, Monticatini, Florence (of course) and many smaller places besides.
All in all a wonderful place to get a true taste of Tuscany. Highly recommended.
