The first thing any of my guests say when walking into B2 Soho on Strand, is 'Wow look at those views'!! They simply are to die for!! From the moment you walk in the door, the pretty coloured houses of the Bo Kaap and Lions Head will make you fall in love, then as you enter the living area Table Mountain lays before you like the beautiful jewel that it is.

Once over the views, the next ‘wow’ is the apartment itself. Sporting a fresh makeover, the furnishings have been chosen to maximise luxury and comfort, making your stay feel like a home away from home. Enjoy free and unlimited WIFI, and the full bouquet of DSTV channels (yes this includes sport!!)

The kitchen is large, fully equipped, and loved by people who cook – it has everything you need. You can chose to eat inside or alfresco , on the large balcony with Table Mountain as your backdrop.

Stairs lead you up to the loft bedroom with kingsize bed, down duvet and plenty of cupboard space.

The luxurious bathroom has both bath and shower, with plenty of hot water, toiletries and soft fluffy towels.

If you feel like a swim, then just hop down one floor to the communal pool and sun-deck, with BBQ facilities for those who like to cook like the South Africans!

It is hard to beat the location, the block is nestled between the uber cool De Waterkant, City Centre and the Bo Kaap. Loads of top rated restaurants are within a stone’s throw, the super cool Bree Street, Heritage Square, and the Cape Quarter are 2 mins walk. Long Street and the heart of the Bo Kaap 5 mins walk, V&A Waterfront 15 mins walk. Company Gardens, the museums and CTICC 10 mins walk. To get to the beaches or the Cable car, you can hop on a MyCiti bus, or take a 10 min taxi ride. About Claire Parrish

I am originally from Newcastle in the North East of England. After living and working in the corporate world in London for 6 years, i decided i needed a break. I enrolled on a volunteer program which enabled me to work with lions in Zimbabwe, and then at a health clinic in Zambia. It was in Zambia that i knew my life had to change, it seemed to me, that in Africa you could be whatever you wanted to be! I was allowed to help deliver babies, was a lab technician, amongst other things, and also in the afternoons i taught kids English.

At the end of the volunteering, i joined an overland tour which ended in Cape Town. I fell instantly in love with the city and decided i would live there. I had no clue what i would do when i moved, but things fell into place instantly and i started modelling and acting in TV commercials. I have now lived in Cape Town 7 years, and can truly call it my home. I spend any of my free time hiking on the mountain, i love living so close to, and having access to such beautiful nature.

When i first arrived in Cape Town i stumbled upon De Waterkant. I loved the quaint cobbled streets and felt like it was a secret place i had uncovered. The original Cape Quarter was just the piazza, and of course since then it has been extended and grown into a delightful hip and trendy area loved and known by all.

What makes this apartment unique

I actually looked at many properties in the area, but my favorite block was Soho on Strand. It seemed quiet and tranquil considering it was in the middle of the city. The minute i walked into B2 my breath was taken away by the view before me. I loved the double volume loft style, and the apartment just had that special feel. I made an offer immediately and never went back again until the day the keys were handed over. I was that sure this was the one!

Great base for a Cape Town stay

Very comfortable apartment in a great location to explore Cape Town. Beautiful views of Table Mountain and the colourful neighbourhood of Bo Kaap. Very convenient for numerous great cafes, restaurants and bars in De Waterkant. The owner is very helpful and provides a wealth of information about the area. I recommend this property and would happily return.

Truly Awesome Place in Every Respect

It's not always easy to tell what you're renting on the Internet, but I feel incredibly lucky to have landed in this gem. The location is perfect, in Bo Kaap right next to De Waterkant and City Bowl. The apartment is great, with all amenities and a breath-taking view. And the owner is incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and welcoming. I cannot imagine a better place from which to love Cape Town.
