Because of snowy weather in Denver and Beaver Creek (24+ inches), I had asked at the last minute for an early check-in, which was granted. Even though we were several hours early, the drive had already been scooped out for us. This was a great introduction to what turned out to be a very comfortable, accommodating home. I usually try to stay in ski-in ski-out rentals, but, since I was late in making a reservation, those were mostly unavailable. As it turned out, I found this arrangement just as convenient at a much more reasonable price. The free Dial-a-Ride service is excellent, usually giving us just enough time to get our ski gear together before they were out front ready to go.
The house was easy to live in during our short stay. Everything in the kitchen worked as expected, and we enjoyed the extras such as the hot tub and fireplace. We did have to scoop our way through about thirty inches of snow with a small shovel to get to the spa. While I don't expect the management to take care of all snow removal, having a real snow shovel available would certainly be an improvement. We also enjoyed the fireplace a couple of times but one of the panes in the glass firescreen cracked the second time we used it. The management called me about it a short time after we checked out and just wanted my opinion as to what the cause might have been. I told them that I thought someone must have repaired the screen earlier with the wrong kind of glass. The management handled this problem well, in my opinion, and I regret that I did not let them know of the problem the day before (which was a Sunday, though) so that repairs could be made before the next occupants checked in. All things considered, this house or one like it would now be my first choice in a ski vacation rental in the Beaver Creek area.
