Fully furnished and equiped studio apartment set in lush tropical gardens

This is a newly renovated modern studio apartment. It overlooks the first fairway of the 9 hole golf course. The apartment is on the upper level of a block that is secure with an outer locking gate on the front entrance & floodlights & security patrols at night. The apartment can sleep 2 people in an air-conditioned living area. The kitchen is compact & fully equipped with fridge freezer/ microwave/stove/ toaster & all essential utensils & crockery .There is a balcony overlooking the 1st Fairway with outdoor furniture which offers the opportunity for sunbathing & relaxing with a rum punch in tranquil tropical surroundings. There is a large TV/DVD player/CD player in the living area & wireless broardband is also provided. There are also laundry facilities available.Maid service is included. You are able to swim in any of 5 swimming pools on the Resort and there is a Golf Club House that provides meals and drinks all day. Golfers can tee off at sunrise on every morning of their holiday.
About Diana Carter

I grew up in Cardiff,Wales but left in the 70's to teach in the West Indies. I taught in St.Gabriels Private Primary School in Barbados for 21 years. I do know this island paradise very well and had an amazing life but when I retired I came back to live in Winchester UK. I have 3 wonderful sons and 2 still live in Trinidad while my youngest son settled back in Southampton UK. I travel regularly back to the island to visit with my Grandchildren and stay for some peaceful weeks in my studio apartment in Rockley. The picture is my partner and myself in Barbados for my sons wedding in 2010. From the backdrop behind you can see just what an fantastic place this can be for a wedding!!!!!!

If you are a golfer this is perfect for you. Imagine waking up at 6am and walking a few yards to the first tee just below your patio. It is cool at this time and you can see the monkeys and the ground doves and all the great tropical flowers all around you. If you are a sun worshiper a few yards across the fairway and you reach one of the 5 pools you can use on the Resort and by car 4 mins to reach the local beach. The colour of the sea is an amazing blue and the turtles in the lagoon off the Carib Beach bar are swimming next to you in the crystal clear water.

What makes this apartment unique

Rockley Resort is beautifully maintained and very quiet and peaceful. I love just opening my patio doors first thing in the morning and just thanking God that I am alive to appreciate all the colours and scents of this tropical paradise.

Wonderful and Relaxing

I have had a wonderful, relaxing holiday in this lovely studio apartment. It has been so central for all my needs and the apartment itself was clean and fresh and so comfy, especially the beds! It had everything I needed and I was able to cook on the stove or in the microwave if I wanted a night in. I hope to return again and will certainly recommend it to my friends.

Appartment from Hell

I hired this appartment for 2 months.On the day we arrived,we found large cockroaches in the drawers in the kitchen.The kitchen has to be sprayed with a insect spray.On the second day we found a bad smell coming from under the sink.it ended up being a leak in a pipe in the wall which must have been going on for ages.It completely rotted the inside of one of the kitchen units.The work to rectify the problems was carried out and took approx 2weeks to do.The electric kettle went bang on the second day.We had continual problems with internet service keep failing.This went on for the whole 2 months we were there.The cable box for the tv packed up on xmas eve,and we ourselves had to take it to the cable co to get repaired.Most things in the appartment are very old and tired and the decor is also very tired and dated.Overall our holiday was very stressful due to all the ongoing problems.NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED.Also the photos make the appartment look quite large,when in fact it is very tiny.
Owner's Response: I am so sorry Eric that you did not enjoy your stay in my wonderful apartment in Barbados, but I will try and alleviate some of my future guests doubts about staying in my studio in Rockley Resort.
My onsite Management Company (Island Gold) will verify that Christine, your personal team member,did everything possible to help you.
The small brown cockroaches you find in Barbados are flying insects and although I had the apartment sprayed by Parsons Pest Control in October some will find their way in.
I was actually on holiday staying my apartment just before booked in(mid Nov.) and I can assure you that there was no water leak in the kitchen. Also as there was no damage in the apartment below it could not have been of long duration.
The electric kettle was working when I left but when you complained a new one was immediately purchased for you!!
As for the decor when you walk in there is a definite WOW factor.The maple floor is new as are the beds/sheets/lamps/pillows and the colour scheme is tropical mint
green/yellow/orange/white and there is picklepine effect in the living and bathroom areas.
In conclusion I did give you a generous 33% discount on your stay and a bottle of wine/fruit basket to compensate for any in convenience during the repairs.

The best vacation ever.

I have been vacationing in Barbados for the last 10 years, but have allways stayed in traditional hotels. I was recommended this apartment by a friend of mine and after chatting with the owner decided to "give it a go".

I was not disappointed - in fact it was my best vacation ever.

The resort is immaculatly kept with all the gardens bursting with exotic wildlife - including the friendly wild monkeys - but dont try petting them !!!! The apartment itself had recently been renovated was extreemly clean and comfortable. It even looked exactly like the pictures in this web site. A rare experience for me, as i am normally left with the impression "how did they manage to make this look like that"

The owner even has hand painted acrylic pictures that are breathtaking and really do add that extra bit of exotica to the decor.

Having a self contained apartment is much better than a hotel room as it allows you the luxury of choosing a home cooked meal or the eat out experience.


Rockley resort is very centeralised with everything you need to enjoy your vacation close to hand - Accra Beach is one of my fravorites, and all of the Duty free shopping is also close to hand.

I can without any hesitation recommend this apartment for a truly enjoyable stay.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Super holiday with sand,sun,sea and rum punch!!

My wife and i have just recently returned from having a fantastic two week holiday in Barbados, staying in this lovely, clean,fresh and bright appartment on the fairway of the first hole on the golf course. The apartment was everything we needed for the two of us. The beds were very comfortable and we had some of the best nights sleep we ever had, as we were kept cool by the airconditiong and the appartment had everything to keep us comfortable, it even had internet so we could keep in touch with our close freinds and family back home, telling them all about what we got up to during each day. We managed to rent a car from a very friendly rental company which allowed us to explore this lovely island... which we took full advantage off. We visited Harrisons cave which was spectacular, saw monkeys at the wild life reserve ( we even saw freindly monkeys hanging around the rockley resort, which surprised us) we visited lots of sandy beaches and met some very freindly locals.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

They seemed to have had a wonderful time and really enjoyed their holiday on this beautiful tropical island.
