Guestbook comments from the owner
Hi, Dana and Linda;

Thanks for the delightful stay at your casita last week!! It was just what Maggie and I needed to get away, reconnect and relax. What a great place and location! I will definitely recommend to anyone I know that is coming to Santa Fe. I hope to be back with my husband sometime this summer or fall.

Can you tell me where you bought the copper sun light that is on the wall in the dining room? I loved how the light reflected on the wall from this light!

Take care- thanks again!

We've lived in Santa Fe since 1992 and can truly call it our home. We love to travel and stay in other VRBO homes but it's always great coming back to Santa Fe New Mexico. Our business is in Santa Fe making it easy for us to manage the property making sure it's perfect when you arrive.

Linda Valentine purchased this house in 2006

We bought our rental property not only for others visiting and wanting a great place to relax and enjoy but also when we need an in-town place, we can stay there and take our dogs on a walk to the Plaza and enjoy eating and drinking at all the great restaurants in the downtown area as all of our visitors do. We live in the county of Santa Fe so it's a great getaway for us too!

Our property is inside an off street gated compound accessed via remote control and has 3 add’l. separate Casitas (all little homes within the compound). Ours is just under 1200 sq. ft. and is equipped with everything for a very comfortable stay. Including radiant heated brick floors, 2 bed/2 bath, couch that makes out into a queen size bed, all adobe construction, decorated in very sophisticated Santa Fe style, Kiva Fireplace (with wood), wireless internet and all amenities. You are a 5 minute walk to Albertsons Grocery, Sun Flower Market, Starbucks, restaurants and more. It's only about 10 to 15 minute walk to the historical Santa Fe plaza and 30 plus minutes to the Santa Fe Ski Basin.

CHARM AND SERENITY ABOUND

  • 5 of 5
We celebrated my parents' 45th wedding anniversary at this beautiful and charming Santa Fe home over a three night and four day stay. The location was superb and safe to walk to or from the plaza at night. It was also ideally located close to grocery and other shopping. We loved the adobe walls and the security of being in a gated property. There was lots of natural light throughout the home. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals at home. The bed in the master bedroom was particularly comfortable. Booking was easy and the property owner was delightful to work with. We all felt this was a much more relaxing and personal way to get to know Santa Fe from the comfort of this home. When we come back, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

GREAT LOCATION AND SO QUAINT!

  • 5 of 5
The casita is absolutely lovely and very well appointed. It was larger than I had imagined from seeing the photos. The location is fantastic, with grocery stores and the Plaza within walking distance. The neighbor, David, is an absolute hoot -- and so kind. We loved staying there. The only things that would have made our stay even more perfect would be if the king bed and the rock-hard pillows in the master bedroom were more comfortable (there were extra pillows in the closet, but they too were hard). Other than that, I highly recommend the place.

The casita was adorable and very comfortable for 4 adults also very convenient. We had a car so that made traveling a little easier, but walkers would do fine at this location.

BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, WELL FURNISHED

  • 5 of 5
We had a very nice stay at this casita. It is a beautifully finished, clean and well furnished casita. The radiant heat made the brick floor nice and warm and the sky lights in the master bedroom and hallway help make the casita cheerful during the day. The owners were responsive and provided all information for arriving after hours. The location was convenient to get to the grocery store and to the plaza. The casita conveniently has two parking spots.

The one down side is that the living room and dining room are a bit dark, both during the day and at night.

GREAT PLACE.

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I have been coming to Santa Fe for 15 years and are returning to this property for a second stay and hopefully more going forward. Like anyone through the years, we have run into a few bad lodging experiences (mainly a property falling short of what you expect followed by difficult owners/real estate agents). This property met all needs and expectations. Very clean, good location, great WIFI, cell phone coverage (AT&T can be hard to find in some Santa Fe locations), great kitchen, etc. Probably one of the best aspects has been the owner, Linda. She has been more than fair, reliable, never over-bearing, and a pleasure to work with through booking/staying. This property experience has inspired me to write my first review on VRBO.

PERFECT FOR 2 ADULTS AND 2 TEENAGE DAUGHTERS

  • 5 of 5
GPS brought us right to the casita with no problem from our arrival point in Albuquerque . This was part one of our holiday in Santa Fe. We normally go to the ocean for our vacations but decided on something a little different this time. Information on the property was sent via email as to key placement and code information. All correspondence with the owners was met with a prompt reply. We sent a text letting them know all was good upon our arrival. The Casita was perfect . Tastefully done, extra, extra, extra clean and comfortable. The neighbours were also very friendly. We settled in and went to Albertsons grocery store (5 min walk) to get supplies. In the evening we walked to the Plaza. It took about 12 minutes to walk to the edge of the city where the shops begin. Just a note, shops generally close at 5:00pm each day and open at 10:00am. A gluten free bakery nearby called MoMo and Company was perfect for my oldest daughter. Besides going to the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, we did white water rafting with New Wave near Taos. We arranged this prior to our arrival. A full day of rafting with lunch included !!! The Shed was an amazing restaurant and like most restaurants in the city, provided gluten free dining for my daughter. We also did Canyon Drive which is wild on Friday evenings. Part 2 we stayed at the Four Seasons Ranchero Encantado. From there we went on day excursions to Los Alamos and Bandelier. Thanks again for the amazing stay in your lovely Casita and thank you for an unforgettable visit to Santa Fe.
