Gibraltar Home from Home: Gibraltar is a British Over Seas Territory - Gibraltar is known as little Britain, it has all the shops you expect to see in
a UK high Street, from M&S, British Home Stores, Next, Monsoon and many more, including many high end Designer Brands. Gibraltar also has lots of jewellers selling silver items to Rolex Watches. For food we have Morrison’s & Iceland so you can treat yourselves to all your usual food indulgences.
Gibraltar has very cheap Cigarettes, Cigars, alcohol about 3 or 4 times cheaper than the UK, in most cases.
Gibraltar is like the UK was 30 years ago, very safe and hardly any crime.
You see the bobby's walking around in the winter with their helmets on, as in the UK, In the summer with shorts, T-shirts and flat caps, but always very visible.
The weather in Gibraltar It is mostly good. In the summer it is hot and dry, with a sea breeze. In winter the days are mostly nice, a bit like a nice summers day in the UK 19/20C, we do sometimes have rain in.
The Apartment Outside : -The apartment is road level, no stairs, and looks like a detached bungalow from the back, we have no attached neighbours ether side, just below, so its a very quiet location. Parking is available in the road.
-The balcony is so private that you can sun yourself all over, no one can see you, except the birds!!
-The apartment is suitable for all ages, and holiday types, from Honeymooners, those on their second Honeymoon,
-Families, the Elderly, Friends sharing.
The Balcony is large and not over Looked.
-The apartment has wonderful views over looking the beach and the sea. The sea always has many boats moored out at sea, its great to look at them, through the telescope.
Look to the left, see Spain. Look to the right, see Africa.
-The Balcony is decked with comfortable furniture, cushions Table with four chairs, Telescope
-BBQ which uses coals, so you can have an easy cooking holiday if required, also has outside lighting.
From the Balcony: Often you see the police & customs training in the water this is quite a sceptical to see. Christmas Day Santa travels around the island on the Police launch, waving to every body.
We have even seen an American submarine rise up from the water in front of the apartment, it was dropping officials off, Chelsea, Hillary Clintons daughter.
A car Is not necessary, if you want to travel extensively in Spain their are coaches you csn pick up from the border, if you want to go to Africa, you can book a trip from one of the agents in Gibraltar, they will arrange for a bus to pick you up, take you to the Spainish port, then you across the water by fast hovercraft, then a coach takes your around the other end, it is a long busy day, but well worth it.
Buses in Gibraltar are very frequent and very reasonable. You can get a bus to the border or all around the island.
