"Spacious apartment with everything you need!"

We stayed with our 4 young children 12 days in Ricadi in this apartment. There was everything you needed and was very clean. The owners made us even things as sand buckets and spades what the kids loved. Patricia Calabria Rentals was always very helpful and the delivery went well. There are perhaps 5 minutes to the beach. In the car. There are several beaches nearby that are easily reached by car. Since pos tseason was, the beaches were empty relative and it was very quiet in our house, which we like. For snorkeling and swimming, it was still warm enough and the temperatures were around 29 degrees in October. Tropea is about 20 min. By car. From here there are boat excursions to Stromboli and the other islands. It is worth it! You can go shopping at conad about 20 min. By car or in the local shops, but they are expensive and the food is not always fresh. It was all very straightforward and worked well. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Calabria is the most southern point of the boot, to a large extent still unaffected by the mass tourism. Miles-long coasts alternating with white sandy beaches, lonely rocky bays, steep cliffs which dive into a sea of many shades of blue and turquoise colours, constantly changing landscapes and millennium-old history make this region of Italy very special.
Capo Vaticano, the last strip of land before the Straits of Messina, thrusts dramatically from the sea, its white rocks battered and eroded by centuries of breakers that have taught sailors to respect and fear this fascinating, almost mysterious place. Capo Vaticano its majestically enthroned in a turquoise sea, as it dominates the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands to the north-west, the Gulf of to the north-east, to the south-west the Gulf of Gioia Tauro and, beyond, the Straits of Messina culminating in Mount Etna. This part of Calabria, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, contains the ancient fascination of a thousand years of history. The sea that caresses the snow-white beaches and the wildness of the rocks make visitors lose their sense of time, as it conceals beneath its waves the secrets of ancient shipwrecks, the relics of which have frequently been discovered. Life in the area is dominated by fishing; its waters are visited by the great swordfish, tuna, blue sharks etc. as they cross the Capo Vaticano every spring. Choose your holiday accommodation in Capo Vaticano Ricadi and Tropea area, a magical place for your holiday dream's.
The Capo Vaticano area
Ricadi is the home of the chipola (red onion) and many locals sell their produce at the side of roads. There is a pharmacy in Ricadi and post office in the villages. The Vibo Shopping Centre is 15 minutes from the apartment in Vibo Valencia where there is a large Spar supermarket and department stores.
