Hello, we are Murray and Anne. We have been together for 18 years now. We are both lifetime Michigan residents, and love it! After Murrays accident in 2001 that left him a paraplegic, we built a small hobby farm that keeps us busy. We have an alpaca, mini cow, duck, fainting goats, chickens, bunnies, sheep, dogs and cats. We have two grown children, one is still living with us as she finishes up college the other lives on his own.
Murray and Anne purchased this house in 2012
We love the beauty of Northern Michigan, out of all the places that we visited, we kept coming back to Lewiston. Tee Lake is full of wildlife and very relaxing and beautiful. This is our vacation home and we wanted to share it with others.
The huge master bedroom and walk in closet is fantastic. The covered porch allows you to enjoy the nature while still being covered from the elements. You will enjoy the stunning view of Tee Lake from the big gorgeous windows found in this home. There are plenty of times where it feels like we are the only ones on the lake.
Murray and Anne's rental home on Tee Lake was GREAT! The accommodations were very nice and had everything you could think of! A home away from home!
Our trip was last minute, but Murray and Anne were so accommodating! And it was SO AWESOME that we could take our 2 dogs with us - they had a blast in all the surrounding state land - doing what Brittanys do best!
Although the full kitchen has everything you need to cook, as well as the outdoor charcoal grill - which we did use all of the above a few times, we were on vacation, so we loved to hit the local restaurants - The Villager for breakfast and HOMEMADE bread...and Lewiston Lodge for a couple dinners.
We were there mid-October, just passed peak season, but the colors were gorgeous! We enjoyed the scenic drives! Great walks! And of course, this time of year was very quiet on and around the lake, so it was very relaxing.
Having internet at the house was a plus! It allowed us to keep up with the outside world - especially since many areas in Lewiston had no signal as we drove around.
We really enjoyed our much-needed time away!
Thanks Murray and Anne!
The home on the lake was really great. We had two couples and a dog. A third couple could not come with us. There was plenty of room for all. The house is very well remodeled and is what the ad said it would be. The owners were very helpful. Wildlife was abundant with a lot of things from humming birds to elk (heard a bull bugle). Sat on the deck watching the moon, played cards, went for boat rides, did some fishing most days and just relaxed on this quiet and restful lake. The furnishings included great pots and pans, dishes and utensils, and best of all a dish washer. Thank you for sharing this wonderful settings with us.
The title says it all! We had 5 adults and 2 young children that stayed here and it fit all of us perfectly. The house was very clean and extremely well stocked. We literally only had to bring ourselves, personal things and food. They had the rest which was very nice!
The owners were a delight to work with. They always communicated promptly, were extremely friendly and even supplied us with the ingredients to make smores and got our two young boys gifts! We even accidentally left something behind and they were very quick on shipping it to us.
All in all it was a great experience. The house was lovely, the location peaceful, the lake nice and the owners friendly. We highly recommend this place!
Two weeks before our scheduled stay, our daughter was in a motorcycle accident & required surgery on her C7 vertebrae. We weren't sure if we could make it. Anne & Murray were willing to work with us on any decision we made. Fortunately, we were able to go. Anne & Murray rearranged furniture to make her more comfortable & left a "get well" bouquet for her! They layout of the cottage is great. Having use of the attached garage made packing up to leave easier, since it rained all of our last day. Our dog loved playing on the little beach and we kayaked the entire perimeter of Tee Lake. We had coffee on the covered deck every morning (even when it was 40 degrees). Enjoyed seeing the loons & watching the hummingbirds. There were no neighbors all week, so it was a very private spot on the lake. Thank you, Anne & Murray, for sharing this sweet cottage with us & being so accommodating.
We stayed here last week and had a great week! 4 adults and 2 children fit comfortably-the house was clean, the layout gave us lots of room to spread out and the kitchen was fully stocked (we used the electric griddle almost everyday!). Anne and Murray were great to work with and left us a nice welcome package-craft kits for the kids, home baked dog treats, fresh produce from their garden and all the fixings for s'mores! We were able to relax and enjoy the surroundings- fishing, paddle boating, grilling dinner and camp fires every night. Kids loved playing in the water right at the house. We rented a pontoon boat from Twin Lakes Marina for the week and enjoyed afternoons floating in tubes on the water and sunset cruising in the evening. It rained one afternoon and we were able to sit under the covered porch and watch the rain on the lake. It was the first lake vacation for our children and it was a success! Thank you!!
My family of six had a great vacation. The location was perfect for activities on the water and off the water. My older kids could paddle out and fish in the no-wake area without worry and my younger two could safely ride their bikes around the quiet private drive. The house was fully stocked with everything one could need on vacation. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for all. The firewood, smores kit and gifts for the kids were a big hit. Thanks to our hosts for the speedy communication, worry free arrangements and attention to detail.
