We are a child-free couple who love to call Vancouver home because of its awesome beauty, access to recreation and great urban environment and central location for travel by air, water, car, bicycle or on foot.
Main Street offers such a variety of eating and entertainment choices within short walking distance. Beyond, Vancouver's many and varied neighborhoods each have their own uniqueness to discover and enjoy. We love to explore our own neighborhood as well as other areas of the city.
We travel a lot and much prefer to stay in rented suites, apartments or houses than hotels. Finding out about other cities and what makes them special is as interesting as the people we meet while traveling.
We enjoy helping our guests get the most out of their stay and our city - so they can get a sense of what makes Vancouver special - rain or shin - it's one of the best places to call home. We hope our guests agree and call Vancouver 'home' while they enjoy all that the city are area have to offer.
David Dunne purchased this apartment in 2006
We travel a lot and love to discover new places and meet people, but we also love to coming home to our own city and rediscovering why we chose to live here.
We moved in to our home when it was new back in 2006 and since then we have come to enjoy the many benefits of our quiet street and the surrounding neighborhood. We are in the geographical center of Vancouver - so access to water, mountains, parks, recreation, downtown, highways and ferries is another reason we love our home, our neighborhood and our city - and hope that our guests come to appreciate some of the things that make this corner of the world special.
My husband and I absolutely loved our little suite. It was perfect for two people. We were a short distance from both Main and Fraser. Dave was very easy to work and very accommodating. We would most Definetely stay there again! Thanks Dave!
The suite is extremely well-designed and also has lots of little extras that make it a great place to stay. We appreciated having all the pots and kitchen utensils we needed to make some of our meals during our stay. It is a quiet setting (we never even heard traffic while in our suite!), yet an easy walk to restaurants, grocery stores and fun one-of-a-kind shops. I particularly appreciated that Dave & Dominique went out of the way to ensure that the laundry detergent they used before our arrival would not be a problem for my chemical sensitivities. Also, Dave was available to problem-solve and help us out when needed during the day when needed. Can't wait to stay here again!
As soon as I walked in the door, I felt 'at home'. Dave and Dominique are respectful, interesting and lovely hosts. I was a woman travelling a lone, and as such, I felt safe, respected, comfortable and indulged. The suite is exactly as advertised and fit my needs perfectly. It is impossible to appreciate how cozy the suite is from the photos. I could have moved right in!!! I was able to have my son and daughter-in-law for supper more than once. The neighborhood is interesting, safe and central to wherever I needed to go. The Marche on George St. is now my favorite coffee shop!! Without question, I will seek out this property on my next visit. Thank you Dave and Dominique.
Apartment is located in a very nice neighborhood Vancouver, which I haven't discovered before. It is lovely and well designed. Dave was an amazing host.
I would definitely come back to stay.
We are local Vancouverites that needed a place to stay and this suite was the perfect fit for us. David and Dominique are great hosts and the suite is extremely clean and tidy. The layout is well thought out and equipped with everything you need. Great neighborhood as well. We fully recommend! Andrew and Melissa
David's garden suite (ground level) is a compact, lovely apartment in a charming part of town. Stunning decor, modern kitchen completely equipped, full bathroom, very clean. Exceptionally comfortable bed. Quiet neighbourhood, close to bus transport lines, shopping.
David and Dominique are excellent hosts. They welcomed us late at night (plane delayed) at the beginning of our 6 day stay. They have prepared a booklet which outlines everything you could possibly want to know about the immediate vicinity as well as general information. David responded graciously and immediately to two requests we made. He is interesting to talk to as well. We will certainly stay there again when we return to Vancouver.
