2 Bedroom/2 Bath Condo Walk To Venice Beaches and downtown

Stay in our lovely freestanding side by side duplex-condo which has that 'old Florida feel' in an updated home Excellent location with all island amenities within blocks in every direction.

Bedroom #1 has queen pillowtop bed, walk-in closet, TV and own bathroom.

Bedroom #2 has 2 pillowtop twin beds, large closet and second bath nearby. There is a washer and dryer in the unit and a large fully stocked kitchen.

Hi-Def 38' wall mounted TV in the living room with full cable, Verizon FiOS wireless internet and telephone. A screened in lanai and new gas grill is available for your use as well. In the yard is a picnic table to enjoy your sunny stay! Your covered parking is right outside the door- parking for two vehicles.

The island community we are a part of has everything you need without leaving the island and no need to drive if you choose not. There is everything-beaches,boating,golfing,dining,pharmacy, food shopping(Publix), municipal post office, hospital, blocks of shops close by our place.

Best of all ---close location and super nice stand alone,no steps-one story home -not in a complex- we are close to it all-yet tucked away in a very quiet location with no noise!

About Kevin Callahan

Husband and I bought this place because we just love Venice Island. Beaches are more private than many other in Florida! Park in the dunes! Downtown Venice has real charm to it! Very hometown and friendly community with alot of free or inexpensive amenities which are open to the public (rare in FL). There are no condos or buildings on the closest beaches near us-pure nature, beautiful!!!

This property is great because it is completely updated but has that 'Old Florida' feel. Renters come back year after year, mostly repeat business. We keep it super clean, comfortable beachy furnishing and well stocked for your vacation stay.

This was the first time we ever rented a home for our vacation. I will have to say it was awesome to have somewhere for our yorkies to stay and be safe and us to be able to come back and relax after a day at the beach. The owner was awesome he was there when we arrived and showed us all we needed to know about the home. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet and the people were very friendly. Would stay there again very nice home had all the items one might need while on vacation. Loved the washer & dryer that way we didn't have to take so many clothes we were there for 2 weeks. A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO THE OWNER FOR MAILING THE ITEMS TO US THAT THE TEENAGER WE TOOK WITH US LEFT. THANK YOU

Venice

Comfortable, very clean duplex within walking distance to beaches and a quick drive into downtown. Quiet neighborhood. The owner was very accommodating as we were here to close on our new home and had some last minute changes. The only thing that we missed was a dishwasher, but the washer and dryer were a great addition.

Cozy home away from home

Venice is a small but vibrant town with nice, friendly people and easy living. We found the home to be exactly as presented on the site and it provided us the perfect spot to do all the things we enjoy! It is in a quiet residential area close to Sharkey's Pier (fishing and dining), Caspersen's Beach (fossil-hunting and awesome bird-watching), Sarasota (lots to do there), and fabulous dining, just to name a few highlights. The house itself is very clean and well-maintained and even had fishing gear, snorkel gear, bikes and a gas grill. The appliances included a much-appreciated washer and dryer, and all were in tip-top condition. For the cook, there are plenty of dishes and cookware with pretty much anything you would need to create a fabulous meal. Beds are very comfortable and there are plenty of extra linens should you need them. In cooler weather the small lanai would be a perfect spot for morning coffee or to relax with a good book. The carport makes parking your car convenient and easy for loading and unloading. Kevin, the owner, was easily accessible, helpful and returned our security deposit quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks and would certainly recommend this home to anyone considering traveling to the Venice area.

Fantastic home away from home!

We spent a very pleasant week in Gayle and Kevin's property on Venice Island. It really is like a home away from home with tasteful decorations throughout and excellent quality linens in the rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well provided for both indoor cooking and outdoor BBQ's which we took advantage of. Evenings on the Lanai with a bottle of wine, family and friends made this a special place.

We found bikes and beach chairs in the store room and even a ice chest to keep drinks cold during days at the beach. Kevin even went out of his way to help us one evening when we really needed it!

Thanks for a great stay Gayle and Kevin, we will be back!

Golfer/Beach goer

What you see in the pictures is what you get. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils you would need to cook with although there are too many good places to eat nearby that I didn't do much cooking. The unit was very conveniently located to the beach and golf course. The first beach area is in walking distance and Sharkey's Pier is just up the road. We all had fun hunting for sharks teeth there. There is a park just the other side of Sharkey's with a very nice walking trail around a lake. I enjoyed walking there on the mornings I didn't walk on the beach. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the golf course. It was very reasonable in price. The 2 weeks we stayed he only missed about 4 days of not playing. The neighborhood was very quiet which also made our stay very enjoyable. We will keep this on our list to return. Owner were very easy to work with and returned our deposit very promptly.

Month of bliss

We came here for a month to decide if we wanted to move to this area. We are now moving! And our stay at this house was wonderful. The house was clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen was fully loaded, meaning we had all the equipment needed to prepare wonderful meals. It was really close to the beaches which were breathtakingly beautiful. Best of all there were two adult bikes and one childs bike. My mother loved the childs bike and we biked everywhere. The neighborhood was very quiet, and we loved exploring it on the bikes. Lots of vegetation and nature surrounding us. The house is also near a really good coffee roaster business, so we bought some of the best coffee in the area! Another great thing was the ringling arena was just down the road and i managed to use the trapeze facility! Great experience. It was also near a public golf course where you could play for a very low fee. We brought our dog and she experienced the local dog beach

Wonderful communication with the owner and the deposit was returned promptly. I would say you could enjoy this without a car, but you would have to be farely fit and prepared to use the bus service which is available, but we did not use.

Our place is wonderfully located the southern end of the Island of Venice. Located close to everything walk to beaches,city pier,sharktooth hunting,boating, walking and biking on Legacy Trail within a block, downtown,shopping, grocery store, library,hospital,post office,restaurants,old train station-no need to leave the island!! So many amenities closeby-too many to list! Ask!
