The cottage sits on a quiet, dog-friendly lane. There is a fenced-in area for your pet.
Beautiful sunsets most every night. The deck overlooking the lake has plenty of seating. A charcoal grill on the deck has everything you need except the food. There is a fire pit down by the water with seasoned firewood for your use.
Two kayaks are available, great for fishing and tooling around. The deck and raft area can also be a great place to catch a Bluegill or a Bass.
Detailed maps of nearby bike and walking trails, along with brochures and things to do are available at the cottage. Two bikes are available for your use.
Smoking outside, please. Thanks!
As a retired teacher/social worker, I now am able to enjoy the beauty of our region full-time. I do a lot of volunteering at Interlochen Center for the Arts, am a Foster Grandparent at the local elementary school and am involved in outdoor activities. My motto? The Truth Will Set You Free!

Because of the sunsets! I love the quiet location ~ so close to Traverse City and Interlochen Center for the Arts; yet there is a real country-feel to this area.
The Location! Again, those wonderful sunsets. The quiet..... the Up North feel.....This is a year-round home so all the amenities are here. Great for dog walking, biking, kayaking, fishing.

Great Blue Gill and Bass fishing ~ Bring your poles! You can launch the two kayaks (one is a fishing kayak) from the raft and dock.
Sit on the sofa and watch the sunset every evening ~ maybe the Loon will stop by or a Blue Heron. There's a wood and charcoal grill available with fuel. A natural setting, on a quiet, dog-friendly lane.
Maps, brochures, and things to do are available at the cottage.
Pets are very welcome ~ they're part of the family, right? Smoking outside, please. Oh, and no candles inside. Thanks!
Guests will have access to the two-car garage, wireless Internet, and Apple TV.
I prefer to meet you when you arrive to do a walk-through and answer any questions you may have. I appreciate a phone call when you leave the cottage. I'd appreciate it if you would strip the beds and place linens and towels near the washing machine.
I love this quiet neighborhood, the sunsets over the lake, the solitude; and yet, it is so close to all the things I love. The proximity to Traverse City, Interlochen, Leelanau and Benzie Counties make it a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring.
