Garfield Township House Rental Photos and Description
This remodeled home on a small lake offers fishing, kayaking, biking & peac
Equal distance from Interlochen Center for the Arts and downtown Traverse City, this is the relaxing spot to return to after a day of adventuring in and around our region. Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa is 25 miles southeast and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is 30 miles northwest.
Remodeled, completely winterized 2-bedroom cottage with an open-air design. All the amenities are here for a relaxing stay. A fully equipped kitchen; however, there is no dishwasher. Coffee/filters will be provided and some condiments in the refrigerator if you choose. One bathroom with endless hot water. Washer/dryer on site. Lots of linens and towels provided.
Boone's Long Lake Inn is less than a mile away ~ a local favorite for dining and music.
The cottage sits on a quiet, dog-friendly lane. There is a fenced-in area for your pet.
Beautiful sunsets most every night. The deck overlooking the lake has plenty of seating. A charcoal grill on the deck has everything you need except the food. There is a fire pit down by the water with seasoned firewood for your use.
Swimming is not recommended (shallow and kind of mucky ~ although the fish love it!), there are wonderful swimming lakes within a five-mile radius. Two kayaks are available, great for fishing and tooling around. The deck and raft area can also be a great place to catch a Bluegill or a Bass.
Detailed maps of nearby bike and walking trails, along with brochures and things to do are available at the cottage. Two bikes are available for your use.
Smoking outside, please. Thanks!

Why Joni Robb chose Garfield Township
Because of the sunsets! I love the location ~ so close to Traverse City and Interlochen Center for the Arts; yet there is a real country-feel to this area.
What makes this house unique
The Location! Again, those wonderful sunsets. The quiet..... the Up North feel.....
