Hello: I live in two states: Washington and the desert of Southern California. I still work part time in Washington, as a Forensic Psychologist, which allows for significant availability here at Salida del Sol. I graduated from Washington State University, and went on to many more years in Berkeley and San Francisco. In my spare time, I love tennis, hiking, swimming and traveling. I have spent extensive time in Asia.

I looked for two years all around the Coachella Valley, before selecting Salida del Sol, at Coral Mountain. It is a true retreat! It will introduce you to the peaceful solace ,and magic of the vibrant desert! The sunsets are usually 'out of this world' with splendor. It is a very quiet development. Sometimes at night you hear a pack of coyotes hooting and howling across the street in the Coral Mountain ,Santa Rosa Reserve. The lake is just down the street for RV'er friends who have their own rig. You can fish and camp there. They rent small boats part of the year. It is a perfect place for surprising your group with a picnic to watch sunset and the stars evolve.

What makes this estate unique

The views to the west with glorious grandiose sunsets will surprise you every night as you swim, BBQ, and dine out near the pool. There are misters to keep you cool in the hotter months, and an outdoor fireplace and heaters for cold January evenings.

Excellent house for seven tennis fans

Last year we had 5 people at another home in La Quinta but this year we had 7 so a house of this size was perfect for all of us. The convenient backyard pool and spa was great! We used it every day. The BBQ was used for an evening dinner. David even arranged for us to use a nearby tennis court instead of driving to another tennis facility. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with essential cooking accessories. Outside of a few minor things (Could not figure how to use spa jets and gate code. First night ant invasion in kitchen), this home provided everything we needed plus a very relaxing atmosphere.

PERFECT desert vacation getaway!

We traveled to Thermal this past weekend so that our older daughter could compete at the Thermal Equestrian Center. The location couldn't have been better. Coral Mountain is a very small development, so safe for even small kids to run around the neighborhood. The photos of the house don't do it justice. It feels much bigger than the photos. The layout is super flexible for larger groups, and the casita is a great in-law unit, or for someone who needs a little more privacy. It's clean, feels almost brand-new, and the kitchen is well-stocked. As soon as we got there, we booked with David for our next two horse shows! Highly recommend this place!!
