Beautiful setting for holiday home

Stayed as a family of 7 adults. Is in a stunning location. A top a hill overlooking a beautiful valley where the only sounds are the water of the stream below and song of the birds in the trees (plus occasional car and dog bark but both rare!). Waking up to that view is fantastic.
Car needed to get there and to get about. We flew into Bologna, for cheaper flights, and the drive is fairly straight forward on the motorway. is 10mins walk down hill, with pleasant restaurant, shop and bar. Supermarket is only 15mins away by car. Walk back up hill at night (after a restaurant trip) well worth it to witness the firebugs.
Home is very nice, well converted farmhouse, comfortable and in keeping with its tradition. Clean and well presented. Mattresses are a little tired but comfortable. Owners very helpful via e-mail and local greeter very flexible (and helpful) when our arrival was delayed.
Best activity was sitting in the sun with a glass of wine, enjoying the view. Nice to have a BBQ too. No TV reception but did not want it. Good to have DVD player to watch the odd film of an evening. Car trip to Lucca (Pisa also drivable) and train to Florence also fun with great architecture... and ice cream!
Recommend for a relaxing, quiet holiday with proximity for plenty of sightseeing if wanted. Would give 4 1/2 stars if possible!
Owner's Response: We are delighted about the great holiday experience whilst staying at Casa Castagna. We take on board the comment concerning the bed mattresses although all beds apart from the en-suite beds had new mattresses 18 months ago,so these en-suite beds will be checked out ASAP.There is a TV but only for DVDs but it is possible TV will be available in 2013.
