Casa De Playa is a luxuriously appointed vacation home, that feels more like a tropical resort, which was somehow pulled from the cover of a 'Tommy Bahama' catalog. It is situated on a triple lot overlooking a basin with 120 ft of seawall and its own private heated pool and dock. It has been recently remodeled and boasts many upgraded amenities as well as water / pool views from almost every room. The large pocket sliders to the pool can be opened bringing the outdoors inside. In addition, there is a large sun deck overlooking both the pool and dock, perfect for sunbathing or dining al fresco while watching the sunset.
The kitchen has granite countertops, with all new stainless steel appliances, including a professional grade oven. There is plenty of counter / bar space with an island area just off the kitchen for buffet style meals and entertaining. In addition, there is a large formal dining area overlooking the custom built wine room. Bring your favorite vintage or bubbly and store them in our built in under-counter wine fridge.
The house is family friendly and has a number of kids toys and DVDs. They will enjoy their own indoor camp out in one of the guest rooms, that can be converted into a pirate styled slumber party, if not being used by adults.
Two of the bedrooms are master suites with their own en suite baths. The other two guest bedrooms are spacious and located conveniently adjacent to the guest bath.
There are separate living and family rooms, on opposite ends of the house, overlooking the water and pool area. Both have comfy sofas and include HD flat screen TVs, cable, wifi, and blu-ray players for indoor entertainment. You can watch the game or entertain in the living room, while the kids watch movies in the family room, without being interrupted.
The patio area includes an outdoor dining table, a daybed, lounge chairs for relaxing, as well as a sitting area for congregating. The heated pool is the center of the house and provides a beautiful glow throughout the house at night.
The dock has a lift on a wide canal and can easily store your boat if you choose to bring or rent one. The Gulf Access canal is within easy reach of local beaches and watering holes on Sanibel Island, Ft. Myers Beach, Pine Island, Captiva, Cabbage Key, Cayo Costa, etc.
As the owners, this is not just a rental property to us, but our second home. Our family has been using this property since we purchased it in 2009 as our own private slice of paradise. We have spent countless weekends making family memories that will last our lifetimes. We decided in late 2013 to open it up to guests when we are not using it, but to us it is still our home. As such, you will find it is well loved and cared for and is definitely not your average rental property.
The owners are native Floridians and have lived for 40+ years all over the state. We would be happy to provide suggestions for sightseeing and fun both within Cape Coral and beyond to other parts of Florida.
We have two school aged children so we know what it is like to travel as a family and this house is our perfect getaway. We also love to entertain so we know that the house will serve both adults and children equally well to enjoy their vacation.
What we most enjoy about this house is dining outdoors overlooking the water at sunset. The kids enjoy fishing off the dock and watching the mullet school around the dock light at night. A late afternoon nap in the daybed by the pool, after being out on the boat all day, is the perfect way to recharge for a fun filled evening with friends and family.
Cape Coral is centrally located with a short drive or boat ride to a number of beaches and islands on the Gulf Coast. Sanibel and Ft. Myers Beach are just to the Southwest. The artist village of Matlacha and the Pine Island hangouts of Bookelia and St. James City are just west of Cape Coral. There are a number of unique island beaches and famous stops only accessible by boat such as Cayo Costa State park and Cabbage Key (where Jimmy Buffet allegedly wrote Cheeseburger in Paradise).
