Why mark chose Kailua Kona

We fell in love with Kona immediately. We found this home and knew it would be a wonderful place to share with friends and family.

What makes this house unique

Private swimming pool and spa and 180 degree views, spectacular sunsets, 2 minute walk to Honls Beach for surfing and snorkeling or a picnic lunch and a short walk to Historic downtown Kailua-Kona. This home is right in front of the Ironman turn-around buoy where spinner dolphins often congregate. You will see whales in season and many other ocean species. Comfortable Hawaiian living at it's best! All 3 upstairs bedrooms have a lanai with great views. The tradewinds flow through this house beautifully.

amazing ocean front

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed 8 nights and had a wonderful time. The house's proximity to the water is hard to describe, it really puts a Hawaiian vacation over the top.

Needles to say, we spent a lot of our time at the house, hanging out by the pool, grilling, or just watching the ocean (saw a humpback jump). When we could pull ourselves away, the walk to downtown was easy.

Beautiful Kona Home

  • 5 of 5

We returned for a second vacation at Mark's Kona Home and brought our friends! We had a wonderful time and again enjoyed all the amenities of the house and the fantastic oceanfront views. The pool and hot tub were wonderful, as always. We had a couple of unusual rainy days, so we just sat in the hot tub and enjoyed the view, and all was well! Thanks again to Mark and Chris, they were always immediately available, yet gave us our privacy to enjoy our vacation. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Kona!

Beautiful Ocean Front Home

  • 5 of 5

Our family and friends spent 8 days in Kona at Mark's Beach House. We thoroughly enjoyed the place. The house is spacious, especially with all of the French doors open, allowing for excellent ocean views, fresh air and the soothing sounds of the waves. The pool and hot tub were excellent to have as the kids can play in the water right on the edge of the ocean. Night time swimming and hot tubing was also fun with the lit pool. The location is excellent, close to center of town and restaurants at Coconut Grove and the fresh fruit market. Upstairs lani is great to hang out to see whales in the harbour while enjoying a coffee. The rooms are spacious with amble closet space. The house is well stocked with new fridge, dishwasher and a Weber BBQ. There is also available beach chairs, snorkel equipment, and umbrella for us. WIFI was also excellent. Would be nice to have windows that can close to reduce early morning traffic noise. I definitely recommend this to others and would definitely return on my next trip back to Kona. Thanks Mark, Chris, and Laurel.

Paradise Rediscovered!

  • 5 of 5

I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to rent a little slice of heaven. This was my second stay here, and it didn't disappoint. The only problem with the house it that staying there is so perfect with with the house, pool, jazuzzi, and ocean right at your doorstop that you might not want to leave it to sightsee. It's clean, well maintained, and huge. We had a family of 6 staying there, and you'd have to go out of your way to find the other people. The skin diving is unreal, and we swam right from the property. We saw whales and dolphin daily. It's a magical place. If you can tear yourself away from the property, you'll be able to walk to town in ten minutes. I can't wait to return for #3! Aloha to Chris and his wife, your local hosts, who are gracious, friendly, unobtrusive, and yet always available.

Best vacation ever.

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at Marks place in February 2015. We had the family there (5 adults and 2 children). The house was great but the pool on the ocean takes the cake. Sitting in the hot tub the waves actually go past you to the south. The ocean was rough all but 2 days of our stay but with the pool it didn't matter. The kitchen was very well stocked, appliances, plates, utensils etc. The house is also well stocked with beach towels, Boogie boards, masks, snorkels etc. We did see whales and dolphins daily. Downtown Kona is close by with excellent restaurants and shops. The only drawback was leaving.

Fantastic Home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved your home! We try to always stay on the ocean but your house is ON the ocean! It is our favorite ever. We loved the waves hitting the rocks and often splashing in the pool It was incredible. The view and the sunsets are spectacular. We saw Whales and dolphins every day and truly hated to leave the property. (We did though. We did the shopping thing and went to a really fun luau and visited the Seahorse place as well as snorkeling and Dave even went snorkeling with the dolphins) You can tell you really care about the house and Chris was great when we called him. We will definitely try to stay here if it is available on our next Kona visit. Beautiful, beautiful property. Mahalo!
