Overview

Prospector Square Condo Rental Photos and Description

New Owners looking forward to sharing our vacation spot!

Our penthouse condo has been renovated and is in great condition. It is located on the third floor with its own private stairwell at the top of the first flight of stairs. It has breathtaking views of the mountains to the south and of Park City Mountain Resort to the west! We have a great housekeeper to make sure the condo is in top shape for your visit.

The condo includes all modern appliances, granite-top counters and everything you will need to cook and eat. From the oil-rubbed bronze hardware to the soft cotton towels, you will be thrilled with the warm atmosphere of the modern-rustic interior. There's even a private, two-person spa located in the unit. The large deck is equipped with a nice table and chairs to take in the awesome views. This is a much better alternative to a hotel room.

Just a few steps from the front door, you can catch the free bus to all the ski resorts, Main Street, cinemas, shops, and the grocery store. Although you don’t need a car, this unit comes with ample parking spaces for three cars.

This is a Sundance Film Festival venue centrally located between Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR), The Canyons, and Deer Valley.

The condo is also within walking distance to many great restaurants and Silver Mountain Health Club is only steps away for those who wish to keep up with their work-out routines, swim in their huge outdoor pool (with large, water park sized slide) or take in a massage.

The rail trail is accessible from our parking lot for the bike enthusiasts with Park City the world’s first ever-gold level ride center by International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) and named in 2013 as one of the top 10 places to live in Outside magazine. Most riding areas are accessible from the condo via the rail trail and heading east to Round Valley or west to the PCMR. There is even a trail up on the hill behind the condo! The Glenwild area is worth the drive to ride Flying Dog trail – I did a return trip on recommendation and was not disappointed! My highlight was the beaver dam that was right next to the trail – on the uphill side! (see the photo!)

In addition, the amenities of this complex also include a heated outdoor pool (summer only), a family sized co-ed whirlpool and a convention center conveniently located next to the reception.

The Prospector Complex has just had a major make over! All of the buildings have been re-roofed, re-clad, re-carpeted, re-painted etc. They have installed magnetic swipe card entries and faster internet connections.

You will enjoy the amenities and value of our strictly NON-SMOKING lovely condo.

Come check out our condo and Park City!!!

Further ski information:

Vail purchased PCMR in September 2014 and has plans to link it with Canyons ski resort, which will make the ski area the largest in the United States

If you are interested in multiple locations throughout the winter, look into the Epic Pass: Unlimited, unrestricted skiing or riding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City, Canyons, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Afton Alps, Mt Brighton, and Arapahoe Basin. NO BLACKOUT DATES. Now includes 5 consecutive days at Niseko United in Japan and up to 5 consecutive days at Verbier in Switzerland and 3 Vallees in France when staying in resort lodging.

'We had a great time, the accommodations were very spacious and spotless when we arrived. The bedrooms are very large and can accommodate 8 people comfortably (we only had 4 and had a ton of space). I would definitely recommend this condo and will be staying here again.'

it was great!'

'it was great, condo is large, and had more than enough room to our group (6). it would fit more people there for sure. Location was close to everything plus the free buses stop right on front of the place. Nothing else to say other than... it was excellent and once we are back in town it will be the same place.'

'My buddies and I found this joint in a pinch. The renter made the process easy and even included an extra night for some of us due to scheduling conflicts that put 2 of us in the city a night before we were signed on to the lease, and made sure that the previous renter's mess as cleaned.

The condo itself is very spacious and fit the 6 of us comfortably, to say the least. There was plenty of room for others to join us if that had ended up being a necessity. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, balcony has a great view. Couch kept everyone cozy after the long days of skiing, neighbors were not too noisy. The building itself is not even 10 minutes from the slopes by shuttle (which arrives on time) and the bus stop is right at the entrance to the complex (be sure to get to the bus on time because if they're pulling away they won't let you on, coming from a guy who was 10 seconds late).

Other amenities worth noting, quick walk to the hot tub, it wasn't crowded. There's a workout facility that you can get easy access to. Great kitchen, good water pressure in the showers, plenty of towels, space to store skis, boot space, great heating / AC, big whirlpool bathtub if that's your thing, and some shops / restaurants right down the street. Otherwise you're right in a neighborhood with a bunch of locals and surrounded by some foot hills with mountains in the background.

Quick ride over to the main street area too if you're looking to explore the night life which we thoroughly enjoyed. Great bar scene, it was a crowd for all ages which you don't get everywhere, and the main street itself has a bunch of restaurants and knick knack shops to explore.'

Greg and Jessica purchased this condo in 2013

Why Greg and Jessica chose Prospector Square

It is in the best location for a family vacation in Park City. There is a bus stop outside the condo on the free bus network and it is also close to many great restaurants. You could stay closer to Main Street, but that comes along with a lot of traffic and crowds. This Condo is also close to the three ski resorts, but really feels like you're outside of the town because it faces the mountain reserve and has direct access to the rail trail that passes right beside the complex. There is also plenty of parking.

What makes this condo unique

Our unit is large enough to handle a good size family or multiple couples with all the updated features you'll need. It has a deck with great views and also includes a lovely private two-person spa that is accessible to everyone in the unit. For those who enjoy cooking, the kitchen is lovely.

A great way to enjoy Park City

  • 4 of 5

I stayed here for the month of March 2015, and was delighted in every way. The apartment has a very large and comfortable "great room", with a smaller seating area, a large and comfortable main seating area with an inviting sectional sofa, then a large dining room table and, finally, a very well equipped kitchen.

All three bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The 2nd & 3rd bedrooms have an unusual, and very inviting "bunk area" just below the windows. When my adult kids stayed with me, they preferred the "bunk" area, just because it's cool.

There's a fabulous spa tub in the unit... great for after a day of skiing.

Three other bonuses...

First, the *FREE* Park City bus is right outside the condo building, and it takes you to town and all three local ski resorts.

2nd, the "Rail Trail", a wonderful walking trail that accesses many of the great Park City hikes is right outside the front door,

3rd, if you like a gym, one of the nicest gyms I've ever been to is on the condo property, although its not part of the complex, so there's a charge to use it. The Prospector Condo front desk has discounts for day use, or the gym offers a fairly reasonable one-month temporary pass.

Finally, the owners were an absolute delight to deal with.

Two negatives to be aware of... first, we did have a problem with noise from some of the neighbours. The condo management tried to deal with it, but it still occurred from time to time. 2nd, there's not much natural light in the master bedroom - only one small window. If you like a dark bedroom, that's a plus. If you like a brighter bedroom, not so much.

Stay During Sundance

  • 4 of 5

My company stayed at this condo while covering Sundance Film Festival and truly enjoyed their stay. Jessica was always quick to answer all my questions before hand and was a pleasure to work with. My co workers loved the location, as it was right near all the main theaters and very close to the Sundance shuttle stop which was right out front. The condo slept many people and was great for our large group. My boss just raved about how amazing this house was.

Would definitely stay here again.

  • 5 of 5

Overall we had a great stay and we would definitely stay here again. The condo was clean, nicely furnished, had many of the basic things you need (utensils, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, salt and pepper, coffee filters) - this was the best appointed condo I have stayed in yet. The bedrooms we very spacious with plenty of beds and closet space. Oh and the spa tub was a really nice treat - great after a long day on the mountain. Great location, the bus picks up out front (condo to bus stop 2 mins walk) to take you to the mountains or downtown. There are several great restaurants right down the block as well.

All trips have their challenges and this one was no different. The washer & dryer went caput but the owners were on it! They helped us get access to a washer and dryer in the complex until the new one was delivered. And the new one is the nicest model - I want one for my house! Next, the management company was renovating and mixed up access to the storage locker for the ski/snowboard equipment. The owners took it in stride and sorted it out but in the meantime they told us to store the equipment in the entryway.

From the inquiry to the post-trip follow up, the owners were very communicative, helpful, nice and genuinely tried to make our stay pleasant. They really do take pride in their vacation home and want everyone to enjoy it as much as they do. Take care of their place like it is your own, not because this is what you should do but because these people are great!

Thanks for a great stay Jess & Greg. We will see you again!

Best regards,

Alexa, Geoff, Alex, Chris & Samantha

Park City

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our time staying at this Condo in Park City. The unit has plenty of beds and rooms allowing for large groups and privacy. The kitchen was my favorite part - they have excellent cooking ware (heavy pots) and a good sized fridge. The TV had a wide variety of channels and was great to watch in the morning or after a long day of skiing. The Hot Tub was a bit further than expected, couple minute walk outside or a short drive, so we didn't end up using it that often. Patio gets good afternoon sun and has a decent view - nice for Apres beers! The owners communication leading up the the trip was excellent. Proximity to the grocery store was great (couple minute drive) and not too far from Main St. Also there is a Bus that comes right outside that brings you downtown- this is great if you don't want to D.D. I would recommend this place!

Owner's Response: Hello Quinn, We are glad you had a great holiday in Park City and at our condo. We aim to make the condo as comfortable as possible for our guests. The large kitchen is very conducive to cooking and our family tends to congregate around the kitchen bench socializing while we prepare meals. The buildings at the Prospector are all being upgraded and will have new external cladding by June, making it even more pleasant to enjoy sitting on the balcony and enjoying the views of the mountains. It is good to hear that you enjoyed the double spa bath in the condo and the hot tub. The distance to the hot tub and pool is less than 200 yards towards the Prospector reception and we think is faster to walk than to drive and park. The Park City bus service really is a bonus for getting around town, not just to the ski resorts. We hope to welcome you back in Park City again. Regards Greg and Jessica

Great location for skiing and snowboarding

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here March 2014 with my dad, uncle, brother, and fiance. We are all avid skiiers and this condo was great. 10 minutes to PCMR on the red bus, 15 minutes to Deer Valley on yellow, or 20 minutes to Canyons on the red to pink/lime connector (which is super easy and the timing works out well). After a day a skiing, there are many great restaurants within walking distance of the condo (Make sure you check out Sammy's Bistro, soon to be on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives). Or you can hop on the red or yellow to the transit center to Old Park City (check out the Tri-tip at Bandit's - it's the bomb).

The in-house jacuzzi tub is great for a soak after a longer day of skiing or there is a much larger community jacuzzi outside which was fun when it got warmer.

I would recommend this condo to anyone looking to take a family trip skiing. The cubbyhole beds looked great for young kids. Definitely comfortable for 6 adults and up to 4-6 smaller children.

Nice Property

  • 4 of 5

Had a great week with 2 couples and our 4 children sharing this unit. Lots of space. We did a lot of cooking and found the kitchen to be pretty well set up. The location is great for access to downtown, Deer Valley, and Park City. Didn't use the bus but the stop is right out front. Owners were very easy to work with. We would go back again. Only complaint is that the (free) internet was very slow. Owners said they would take it up with the HOA. It is usable but frustrating. All-in-all a very good experience.

Owner's Response: Hi Rick, Thanks for the really good review! We love cooking up storm in the condo too! The HOA is addressing the slow internet issue in the short term and are also going to replace the cable going into the building. We are glad you would come back, we'd love to have you! Regards Greg and Jessica
