About Chris Leeker

I am east coast native and love the year round life style in the Bay Area. I have a growing family including my beautiful wife and two kids Charlie and Adeline. When I am not being the best dad in the world, I play golf and enjoy home poker tournaments. Food is a great way to spend time with family and friends and I frequently eat a wide selection of ethnic foods like Thai, Vietnamese, and German to name a few. I am a easy to talk to, down to earth guy and have an attention for details in regards to my rental property. I hope you will come and join us!

Chris Leeker purchased this house in 2011

Why Chris Leeker chose Alameda

My wife, being a third generation Alamedian, has always wanted to own a piece of the history of Alameda. Once I moved here, I knew why, the neighbors, the quiet, the restaurant, the proximity to everything. It's a great place to be part of a diverse community.

What makes this house unique

We chose this house because of its potential to be what it has become, an gorgeously updated Victorian family house with strong bones and personality. This house was made for hard working people and has served it's purpose over the years. We are happy we could bring it back to life with our hands for more years of usage.

Total comfort

  • 5 of 5
We stayed in this wonderful house for 2 weeks and loved it. We had 3 adults (4 part of the time) and 2 teenagers and everyone had more than enough space. The kitchen is gorgeous! The location was great to walk to local stores and the teenagers could walk to the Alameda Athletic club for workouts. We also were able to run from the house to the bicycle path along the bay (3/4 mile) and run 4-6 miles several times per week.
Chris was very easy to reach if we had any questions.

Very nice house!

  • 5 of 5
The house is very nice and well maintained. We had a great time when we spent time at the house. The living area was great for playing games or just watching TV's. The rooms were nice and the six of us, were very much at home while on vacation. The house was within walking distance of downtown and conveniently located.

A Perfect Place

  • 5 of 5
This house and its location exceeded our expectation! Our family was gathering for my youngest son's graduation from Berkeley. My elderly parents, my daughter, her husband, and their 3-yr old, and 2 other grown sons all shared the house while we stayed at our condo in Lake Merritt. The house was like being in our own home, clean and bright, with all the comforts and conveniences. We walked 2 blocks to Park St each day to enjoy our coffee/lunch/dinner and even a movie. The house and community was very family-oriented. We enjoyed poking around in the local antique and resale shops and loved the local ice cream parlor. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet get-away in comfortable accomodations.

Heart of Alameda!

  • 5 of 5
We loved The Leeker's home in Alameda, CA. I couldn't ask for anything better, really. The home is very spacious and has some of the nicest floors I've seen. It is beautifully decorated and the Kitchen spoils you immediately. Chris was kind enough to have Organic Bananas, Oranges, and Cream for my Coffee at the house when we arrived. The backyard is quite big for Alameda, and if you sit in the middle of it you will smell All the many flowers blossoming in the neighborhood! The house is only 2 blocks from Park St. which has many great places to shop and dine, including my favorite, Burma Superstar. The house is only a few minutes drive away from the bridge that takes you to Oakland, very convenient. Thanks again to The Leekers for sharing their gorgeous home with us and being kind and efficient hosts!

Fabulous Stay at Charming Downtown property in Alameda

  • 5 of 5
Our stay at this property was perfect from day 1 - the property is immaculate and just as described - top notch in every way.

We were greeted by the owner at check in and given a tour to insure that we could operate the fantastic appliances and entertainment equipment . Chris did a great job making us feel welcome - and there were useful pamphlets for touring information and guides to the great local eateries in Alameda - many of which were within walking distance.
Our family loved the spaciousness and open feeling and all of the nice touches provided while we were there were greatly appreciated-

The rental was a great place for hanging out playing games with our family and friends ( we had 6 people sleeping there and a few more over for dinner on a couple of occasions and it never felt crowded) - The lovely sunlit backyard was perfect for doing Tai Chi or just sitting and having a cup of tea. The home is a well located launching pad for all of our activities being close to the middle of the island and so convenient for easy access to getting to San Francisco.
All of the beds were extremely comfortable ( very important)
I have already recommended this rental to other family members and would use it again if we are bringing a group to Alameda -
We ate at the German Restaraunt nearby and it was excellent - very authentic! ( rated so by my uncle who's mother used to cook him those same dishes). They had an excellent live band playing the night we were there.
Be careful the house and grounds are so nice you might feel torn about leaving :-) and then would miss out on seeing beautiful Alameda -very walkable - nice beaches - great restaraunts -fun and unique architectures and very family friendly.
