3-Bedroom, 3-Bath Townhome overlooking the 10th fairway of the Championship South Course at the Mauna Lani Resort.

Our condo is located in one of the two most desirable buildings in Golf Villas. It is an end unit overlooking the 10th fairway of the famous South Course. Look directly across the fairway and view the multimillion dollar homes of Black Sand Beach.

The sunrise over Mauna Kea is your view to the east, and to the west, more fairway stretching to the ocean. Our home opens to an extra spacious lawn overlooking the black lava and expansive green golf course views. Abundant light and views from every well appointed room in the home; beautifully furnished by C.S. Wo of Honolulu.

Our home has 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms which we limit to 6 guests. The upstairs den has a desk where you can enjoy a beautiful view while checking your e-mails with free secured Broadband wireless connection.

The open kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line stainless steel appliances including a wine cooler and a wrap around bar with stools. The dining room accommodates 6 people and it opens to the downstairs lanai which has a Teak wood table and seating for 6.

We love the summer kitchen with a Thermador stainless steel BBQ where you can prepare fish bought from the local fishermen or steaks from Parker Ranch. If you wish to just sit and relax outside there are 2 comfortable patio chairs and table.

Our comfortable living room includes a 42' flat TV. Hair dryers are in each bathroom. All bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TVs, DVD players, cable/digital TV with music channels.

There are 2 championship courses each with spectacular views. There is an owner's private beach where you can snorkel and see a wide variety of spectacular fish. You will have access to both.

We have the most efficient Concierge who will meet you and acquaint you with the area and facilities.

A Foodland Farms market at the Mauna Lani Marketplace provides everything without having to drive several miles to find the next market.

About Jo Ann Dornbush

My husband and I moved to Hawaii 41 years ago as newlyweds. Our children were born and raised in the islands. We are a golfing family and enjoyed our 'ready-made' foursome. We now are blessed with the addition of a son-in-law and daughter-in-law to our family and look forward to spending time with them at our new home at Mauna Lani.

We recently purchased this beautiful townhome at Golf Villas (previously VRBO listing #244573) in the Mauna Lani Resort. We owned a couple of units at Mauna Lani when our children we young and we had wonderful memories of family vacations there. We decided to 'go home' to Mauna Lani again. We are thrilled as this unit is meticulously maintained and beautifully furnished.

What makes this townhome unique

Excellent location for relaxing on the Big island

The condo is nicely furnished, clean, comfortable, and well maintained: photos and listing description are accurate. Drinking coffee on the upstairs terrace in the mornings was really pleasant, as were early evening swims in the pool. The location on the Mauna Lani resort grounds is a real plus - everything is within a few minutes drive. You have access to an excellent beach with good snorkeling, plenty of lounge chairs, boat trips, kayaking, and a restaurant for lunch or an afternoon drink. You can join the well equipped fitness center by the day. The Mauna Lani shopping area has a good grocery store, three restaurants for happy hour or dinner, and a variety of other shops. Dinner beachside at the Mauna Lani, Fairmont Orchid, and nearby Mauna Kea is a treat while watching the sun set. We have been to the Big island several times, and so did not do much sightseeing or traveling around the island this time (except for a drive up to Tex's drive-in for the wonderful doughnuts); we spent most of our time on the beach and taking long swims in the amazingly clear and warm ocean. It is an excellent location for doing a little or a lot.

We stayed at this condo in July and found it in great shape; the manage Danielle was there to meet us, and everything worked properly and was in great shape. The Golf Villas are one of the most economical places to stay in one of the best resorts on the Big Island, especially if you like snorkeling or golf!

Fantastic Holiday

We loved our stay in this wonderful condo. The owners and the property manager were great to work with. We had 5 people in our family for 12 nights and there was plenty of room for all. We loved the privacy of the end unit, surrounded by beautiful flowering trees. The kitchen is well appointed and the outdoor barbeque was great. We walked every morning to the Mauni Lani or Fairmont hotels for coffee. The private beach is fantastic for snorkeling. The Fairmont Hotel has a wonderful bay for snorkeling, where you will see more turtles, but the water isn't as clear as at the private beach. The swimming pool is lovely and much larger than the pictures portray. We would recommend the Mauna Kea Summit Adventure, Hapuna Beach, Mauni Lani South Course for golf and the Hawaiian Volcano National Park for day trips. We stopped at Costco, but loved shopping at the Foodlands Farm Market every day. I highly recommend this property!!

Nice upscale location in gated community on Mauna Lani South golf course. No ocean view. Excellent private gated beach nearby. Unit is very clean and well maintained. Well furnished and stocked with kitchen equipment, utensils, linens and bedding. Shallow pool which is very kid friendly. Excellent space for sunning with plenty of lounging furniture. Owner is very accommodating and accessible by e-mail or telephone. Property manager is most helpful.

Awesome Unit in Mauna Lani Golf Villas

We love the Big Island and have visited many times. We even own a timeshare at the Hilton Waikoloa. But, being out of "points" and wanting to come again, we found this wonderful, beautifully appointed, spacious condo on VRBO. It is everything the pics say and more. We have 3 kids and brought my mother-in-law and the space was exceptional. The kids loved the private beach access (they are 10-12-14) at the Beach Club where you can also eat lunch and dinner, rent boards, build sand castles etc. The Mauna Lani Hotel is close by and going there for coffee, lunch or dinner is an option too (though you don't officially have access to the pools etc.). They said they maybe could have used a little more "active" pool but the pool at the Golf Villas complex itself is really nice and has a nice hot tub, workout room, and changing rooms. Never crowded. The furnishings (utensils, dishes, furniture, etc) are top notch in this unit with two great lanais to see the sunset and peer over the lava to the golf course. It is a "shoes off" unit so the wear and tear is low and it is very clean. I can't think of one thing I would change with the exception of a situation or two where someone parked in the designated space forcing us to park somewhere else where a neighbor complained. No big deal and only happened once.

The unit is about 1.8 miles to the shopping area and you will need a car to get around. Although, it is the perfect morning running distance to a nice coffee shop in the Mauna Lani shops…and then walk back through the park trails near the spa and tennis club. You do have access to the spa and tennis club for a fee.

BTW, the property managers are very, very responsive and helpful. If you are looking for an awesome family unit, couples (the downstairs BR is twin note but has 3 FULL Bathrooms), or just want to avoid the hefty hotel prices, I would highly recommend this unit and will likely use it again vs. our timeshare when we come back to the Big Island.

Another Vacation in Paradise

This is the second year that my wife and I have rented this luxurious villa and we hope to return for many more years to come! The new owners have maintained this spacious, comfortable, well appointed unit and have added some new appliances to cover all the amenities and pleasures of home. The owners and their on-site concierge were very approachable, informative and easy to work with.
The villa has a great location as an end unit with spacious upper and lower lanais overlooking the tenth hole of the scenic Mauna Lani South Golf Course(my personal favorite!). We enjoyed a variety of fresh seafood and Parker Ranch steaks that we have cooked on the BBQ deck while watching golfers and sunsets pass by. The villa is only a five minute drive to the wonderful private beach with excellent snorkeling, whale watching and a chance to swim with the sea turtles(always a highlight!). Napua Beach house restaurant at the private beach is very convenient for romantic sunset cocktails and dinners! We enjoy the easy access to golf, snorkeling, Mauna Lani Sports Club, shopping and local restaurants like Tommy Bahamas and Ruth's Chris.
This villa simply makes for a fabulous vacation in paradise! We can't wait to return!!!
