This home is perfectly located to enjoy the downtown scene and offers easy access to some of Austin’s largest festivals. The home is just a mile walk to the Austin Convention Center, home to the annual SXSW music festival. Even closer-by is the ever growing in popularity Rainey Street. This street of bars has redefined the concept of going out in Austin and has quickly become the most enjoyable place to spend the nights. Around the home are also great places to eat, like Mr. Natural, a classic Austin establishment at its finest, featuring wonderful vegetarian and vegan dishes and yoga all in the same spot. If you’re looking for breakfast a must try is Juan in a Million, known for their enormous portions and great pricing, this restaurant has been featured on many food and travelling shows. There are also great places to eat on Rainey Street and East Sixth Street, both under a mile away. On East Sixth Street there is Papi Tino’s that serves Mexican food and has excellent outdoor seating. In the other direction on Rainey Street you must try G’raj Mahal; they serve some of the best reviewed Indian food in the city and on some nights stay open as late as 2AM. The combination of this modern home and the location are such a rarity in this part of Austin that it creates a truly wonderful experience for a vacation.

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
A group of four of us stayed at this rental for a long weekend. It was clean, safe, and had everything we needed! It's down a side alley, which made it hard to find upon arrival. There is a bedroom downstairs and a bedroom upstairs, which provides some privacy within the apartment and makes it ideal if you have two couples staying together. It's about a 10 minute walk to Rainey St and a 5 minute walk to the Colorado River. If you're going to South Congress or 6th you need to take a cab. Overall it was a great place and I would definitely recommend it.
The unit was in excellent condition and very clean; the bed was heavenly and the location was as close to Rainey Street as we could find; plus it was a very short walk to the River Trail. The deck was perfect and the AC very cool!
My husband and I travel about once a month with one staff member to cities all over the U.S. We like to stay in vacation homes/condos because it allows us to have a common space for meetings and hanging out, as well as a kitchen for making breakfast and snacks. (Plus it's more economical than two hotel rooms.) I really liked that this house had two bathrooms, and that the one bedroom suite was on a separate level-- allowed for that extra bit of privacy. We loved the back deck and sat out there while working on our computers with coffee (or wine). The wifi worked well and the air conditioning was good-- it turned out to be rather high temps for April and we were quite comfortable. We were a bit confused when we first arrived-- there are two houses on the property and you need to access this one via the alley. (Turns out I didn't read the directions properly, so that was my own fault!) The key code entry door lock is pretty slick-- there was no having to share keys or struggle with sticky locks. The security system was easy to set. (If you read the directions! ha!) We had a rental car and parked it in the driveway. The location is very central and was near our venue. We were able to walk a couple blocks up to a main street with a good taco truck and other little shops.
We were there for a week-end amongst friends and loved it! The place is nicely decorated, clean, and the terrasse is perfect for breakfast! We walked to Rainey street both nights and had lot of fun! There is also a general store one block away, which can be convenient. We will definitely stay there again our next time in Austin!
When we first arrived to the address, i hadn't read the fine print of how to actually get to the house and pulled up to an unkept house on holly street. Once i read the instructions and to go into the back alley i was relieved greatly! Nice place, lots of natural light, and the patio was awesome. A ~15 minute walk to rainey street (which is awesome) and a 10 dollar cab ride from West 6th St depending on traffic. Overall great location, nice house, could use some better window treatments....almost too much natural light after a night out!!
Stayed here for SXSW.
Convenient location in East Austin. Nice neighborhood in transition. A lot like South Austin 10 years ago.
Porch was great for relaxing while planning for the day and recapping in the evening.
Views of downtown.
Close to hike and bike trials leading into downtown.
Would definitely rent again.
