This centrally located 475 sq ft (44 m²) apartment with hard wooden floor and nice carpentry, situated on ground floor in quiet area nearby Central Station (only 2 busstops away), is really amazing by it's art decorating and surprising design.
Very nearby what was elected in 2011 and 2012 as the most pleasant shopping street of the Netherlands you'll find a variety of conveniences as foodmarket, cinema, restaurants (Japanese, Indian, French, Italian, Dutch, Chinese etc), cafés, bistros, all kind of small shops.
At a two minutes walk you'll get the feeling being in a typical Dutch harbour village: Bickerseiland and Prinseneiland.
Amsterdam offers a lot of famous museums like the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum (national museum), Stedelijk Museum (modern art). Other sites worth visiting: Anne Frank House, Concertgebouw (the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestre), Synagogues (the Portugese e.g. to be seen!), Music Halls, and so much more.......Enjoy your stay!
Speaks: English, Dutch, French, Italian, German.

Appena tornata dal mio soggiorno presso questo bellissimo appartamento, non posso far altro che consigliarlo: proprietario gentilissimo e disponibile e appartamento davvero bello a 2 passi dal centro!
The apartment was incredible, clean and charming and in a fantastic location. So much with in walking distance and what isn't can be bussed to with ease. I think what sets this property apart is the owner. Peter is one of the nicest people we met while traveling in Europe. He had coffee and wine and beer waiting for us, as well as recommendations and maps. He was so helpful and genuine, it felt like we were visiting with a well loved family member. He even stopped by the train station as we left to wish us safe travels. I would recommend renting from Peter to everyone and have already sent out his information to one of my co-workers looking to visit. I sincerely hope we get another opportunity to come back to Amsterdam and if so Peter's apartments are our first choice!
We were so lucky that Peter's apartment was available for our two-week spring vacation in Amsterdam. The location is perfect. The Haarlemmerburt neighbourhood at the northern (non-touristy) end of the Jordaan is steps from the bus stop for the 18, 21 & 22 lines, but it's a pleasant and short walk to the central station or to the #3 tram stop at Haarlemmerplein. The shopping street (Haarlemmerdijk/Haarlemmerstraat) is a short block away with all types of general grocery & specialty food shops, boutiques, cafes, pizzerias, pubs, restaurants, clothing shops, etc. There's even a local cinema where we spent four evenings watching English-language films we had missed seeing in Toronto. We spent a lovely sunny afternoon at the Sunday market in nearby Westerpark, visited the spectacular Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague & nearly every museum in Amsterdam. (The museum card is a great bargain and is valid for a full year throughout the Netherlands.) We were delighted to find that groceries, beer and wine were all less expensive in A'dam than in Toronto so did a lot of eating "at home" -- and we did feel very much at home in Peter's lovely and comfortable apartment. Our early morning arrival did not prevent Peter from being there to show us how to find and operate everything in the apartment--the motorized beds, coffee machine, t.v., shower, etc., and he even took us on an orientation walk around the neighbourhood. He was the perfect host. Even though it was our second trip to Amsterdam in two years, I'm already looking forward to a third in the not-too-distant future. Dank u wel, Peter.
Peter, as many other reviewers mentioned is very accommodating. The fridge was stocked and the apartment was just as pictured. The best feature by far is location. Everywhere you want to visit is within 15 minutes of walking. We had some cold weather while in Amsterdam, so we were happy to have a warm, comfortable place to sleep close by! If you plan on cooking meals, the kitchen is fully stocked as well. The towels are soft. The beds are comfortable. All around- a perfect place to stay. If we visit Amsterdam again, we will stay at Peter's apartment!
