This home has an open floor plan, lots of light and hardwood floors. The house is clean, modern, and comfortable.

The master has its own bathroom, a queen bed and large windows that look out into the woods and gardens.

The upstairs has two bedrooms. One has a queen and a daybed that opens to make two twins. The other bedroom has a queen and a double futon. The upstairs has a full bath with a tub/shower that is shared between the two bedrooms.

The living room is open to the kitchen and dining area and has a sectional couch and comfortable chairs.

The kitchen is brand new, modern and has all the basics you should need to cook and enjoy meals while staying here.

The dining area has a long table (center leaf can be removed if you want it smaller) and seats 8 comfortably but is capable of seating 10. We provide folding chairs to add to the seating capacity.

The covered porch is quite literally another room! It runs the length of the house and is 10 feet deep. There are rockers, adirondacks and a table that seats 6 comfortably and 8 if you squeeze.

Outside we have a patio area with a beautiful copper fire bowl and boulders for sitting around the fire. A short distance from the house is a picnic area that provides spectacular long range views. You will not want to miss this! We also have a loop trail that is about 1/3 mile long, plus some gravel roads for walking. If you are interested, give us a call when you are here and we will try to schedule a time for you to come see our chickens, ducks and goats.

We bought this farm in 2010 and just finished building the vacation rental September 2013. We are so excited because having a farm with a vacation rental has long been a dream of ours! We have a small herd of French Alpine dairy goats and plenty of chickens at our home on the other side of the property.

Steve and Louise purchased this house in 2010

I moved to the area 20 years ago to attend college at Warren Wilson College. I had to leave for 5 years to attend a doctoral program in Seattle, and though Seattle was a wonderful place, we couldn't wait to get our family back to the area. We have now been back since 2002 and watched this amazing town burgeon into a fun and popular tourist destination. This property is one of the few of its kind: a large parcel of land within 1 mile of Asheville city limits and only 10 minutes to the center of downtown.

This property is unique because you have access to beautiful spaces indoors and out. You also have access to woods and meadows, trees and views. It just depends where you decide to spend your time while you are here.

This house is also unique because it is situated on a farm, yet it so close to downtown Asheville and Biltmore Village. There are very few properties that can boast this fact. Most larger tracts are much further away or on steep land. This land is rolling and great for exploring.

Also, our land virtually backs up onto the Blue Ridge Parkway land, just look at the map. The entrance to the Parkway is only about 2 miles away and is the entrance where the Folk Art Center is. This is a great place to visit while you are here.

There are hiking trails both on the Parkway and at Warren Wilson College, which is only a few short miles away. We also have some short trails here on the property.

We rented the property for a family of 5 and had a great time! The owners of the property were friendly and accommodating. They gave us a tour of their farm next door and the kids really enjoyed seeing the goats, chickens and dogs. The house is immaculate and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The views were amazing and very close to town for shopping or dining. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this rental to anyone.

Perfect Getaway that Exceeded Expectations!

This was our second time in Asheville and we knew that this time around, we would be bringing our children and therefore, wanted more space for our girls to run around and enjoy the mountains, yet still be close enough to Downtown to satisfy the urban family that we are. Louise and Steve's vacation home exceeded our expectations the minute that we drove up through the driveway. The personal and thoughtful touches throughout the home and visit (i.e. beginning from Steve welcoming us and touring the home with us, to providing us with a Grocery Store Advantage card, to inviting us over to their property to visit the friendliest goats and roosters) were the whipped cream and cherry on top of our vacation - making this one of our most memorable and relaxing vacations ever. The home was spacious enough for our family for each one of us to have a little spot to get away from the others if needed - yet provided the ability for us to congregate around the dinner table or on the couch to share in March Madness! The commute to downtown was absolutely perfect and allowed us to see another side of Asheville that we did not visit the first time around. If you're looking for a modern, spacious, comforting rental or an experience that will make you ache to move to Asheville, this is the property for you. The owners are very friendly and accommodating people, the house is spotless and FULLY furnished including firewood, kitchen, and a dozen fresh eggs off their farm. Great view, large porch, nice location to hiking and downtown Asheville. I would certainly stay there again.

This modern mountain house has everything you need! Tucked away in the rolling hills of Asheville, this house was a *gem* to find! Breath taking views from every room of the mountains, we found ourselves in an oasis of retreat. Everything in the house is extremely clean and well maintained; we felt like we were walking into a brand new home. Modern fixtures, spectacular wooden flooring, complimentary farm fresh eggs, the custom masonry stone fireplace ready to light, a fully functioning kitchen with everything you need, flat screen TVs and wifi, games; we could tell the owners put much thought into every detail of our stay to make sure we wanted for nothing. So much space on the porch- it really does become another room!

Four of us stayed in the house for our yearly family retreat and we had a blast! We enjoyed chatting by the fire and soaking in the mountain view. We meant to use the fire pit area outside but were so comfy and relaxed we thought we'd save that for another visit.

The owners arranged for us to have a tour of their farm, which is on the on the same property near the rental home. We enjoyed meeting the goats and chickens and even purchased fresh eggs to take home with us!

If you're looking for a fantastic, clean, fresh mountain rental- this is it! 10 minutes from downtown, a few minutes away from the grocery store, drug store and fast food. So close to everything, yet the location is perfect for privacy and tucked away in the woods.

Already have booked our next stay, this time for longer!

I stayed with a group of 7 people and this house was perfect. It was secluded, views were excellent, and it is only 10 minutes from downtown. The house is brand new so everything is in great condition and it was very comfortable. The owner is incredibly accomodating and even had a fire built in the fireplace so all we had to do was throw in a match. I definitely recommend it to anyone.

This property is located within 10 minutes of the HEART of downtown Asheville, yet is on the edge of a 40 acre property and a few short minutes from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The setting is rural, but not remote. The house itself is in a cleared wooded area and gets a lot of light.

We are within a couple miles of restaurants, a drugstore and a large supermarket. We are also close to many trails for hiking including the Mountains to Sea Trail.
