This 100 year old house has been recently brought back to life and it wants to share its warmth with you. This garden level suite features sunny French doors leading into the brand new gourmet kitchen. Quartz countertops, gas stove, dishwasher and double door fridge offer all you need to prepare a gourmet meal or simply reheat some leftovers. Help yourself to coffee or tea anytime with the keurig coffeemaker and curl up on the sofa to watch a DVD from the library.
This place may only be one bedroom, but the sofa converts to a Queen sized bed, perfect for kids or another couple. The master bedroom features a cozy Queen sized bed with plush Duvet. It's so comfy you won't want to get out of bed to shut the blinds. . .and you don't have to. For your convenience the bedroom blinds tilt open and closed on a remote meaning you can wake up to the morning sun with the press of a button.
Don't freeze your tootsies in the morning. The marble floors in the bathroom are heated for your comfort. You'll never want to leave the bathroom, but when you do, you don't have to go far to for a lazy morning sitting in the garden. Later on you may want to enjoy all the charms the neighborhood has to offer with her many shops and restaurants, and then amble down to the waterside and watch the freighters sit at sunset. You can not get a more convenient location in Kitsilano and in Vancouver as everything you need is a few steps away.
Adam and Lauren come from Toronto originally and moved to Vancouver for work a few years back. They loved Kitsilano from the start and had a dream of owning their own home in one of Canada's most amazing neighbourhoods! When they started looking for houses in Vancouver they were pretty shocked by the prices! So when Lauren set her eyes on a neglected triplex in her favourite neighbourhood for the right price, it was love at first sight! With some Interior Design experience under her belt she knew she could bring this 100 year old beauty back to life! Skip ahead a year full of blood, sweat and tears and it's all paid off. They have a beautiful home in their favourite neighbourhood where they can show travelers why this part of the country is so wonderful.
Lauren purchased this house in 2012
Lauren was a warm and welcoming host from the moment I contacted her. She was prompt in her communication, and extremely informative about the local area.
The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, and has excellent amenities to make you feel at home. We particularly enjoyed having our morning coffee outside on the lovely patio.
This was our first visit to Vancouver, and the location was fantastic. We enjoyed walking to Kitsilano Beach, and the city centre was easily accessible by bus.
My husband and I were extremely pleased with this apartment rental, and we will definitely be booking with Lauren again if we return to Vancouver!
We loved this garden level apartment suite. The location was in easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping on a beautiful tree lined street with lots of free parking if you have a car. The apartment was super cute and extremely clean. We really enjoyed the heated bathroom floors and the queen bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended.
I stayed in this apartment for 3 nights and really enjoyed myself. I was visiting my daughter in Vancouver and wanted a nice alternative to a hotel. I lived in Kitsilano over 15 years ago so it was nice to be back in this beautiful area of Vancouver. The apartment is lovely, extremely comfortable and has everything you need. The house is beautiful and on a lovely tree lined street. Its everything you need to have a great time in Vancouver. I will rent this apartment again when I visit again in September. A bonus is free street parking, in Vancouver that's priceless. I travel a lot and have stayed in many places, this apartment did not disappoint.
We spent four nights with our two boys ages 7 & 10. The space worked very well for our stay. We love Kits and enjoyed walking along Broadway and visiting restaurants like East is East and the Eatery. The bed was comfy and the pull out couch worked great for the boys. We would stay again.
I stayed her for a week while participating in a 10 km run as well as attending yoga classes and visiting family in the area. This one bedroom apartment garden level suite was in the heart of Kitsilano and within walking distance of many great activities, such as Kitts beach many yoga studios, Granville Island, very close to Broadway for easy bus access downtown. Check out East and East on Broadway for dinner. Haircats located at Stephens just off Broadway was a great little hair salon. Many grocery stores and fruit stores within walking distance, and did not require a car. Liked the fact that it was in a community with many families in the area and felt very safe walking around the neighbourhood. The apartment was very clean and well maintained, and the owner was very helpful to make arrangements for booking laundry. The apartment was very welcoming with modern updates and a beautiful kitchen and bathroom. It certainly lived up to all of the photos on the website. Loved the heated floors in the bathroom. I would definitely recommend to family and friends and look forward to staying here on my next visit to Vancouver. Owner sent me a reminder note to bring a raincoat prior to my arrival which did come in very handy.
My adult daughter and I stayed here for a week for our first vacation in Vancouver. The rental was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. The bed was super comfy with nice linens and the sofa bed worked out beautifully for my daughter. The location was perfect! We walked to stores in the area, caught the bus to downtown, drove to several towns in the area. It was a great central location for all of our adventures. The neighborhood itself was very nice and safe...it was a good feeling to get back to the rental at the end of a long day and relax. We happened to be there at a beautiful time of year when the leaves had changed. Reminded me of a setting straight out of the movies.
We will stay here again, no contest. The location cannot be beat, the space is large and Lauren was very helpful. Clean and quiet. We parked our car on the street (for free!) and did not move it. Road bikes everywhere. Great place.
Located in quaint Kitsilano, you are just steps to great restaurants, shops, bars, beaches and parks! Hop on one of the many convenient transit routes or in your car and in minutes you're at the doorstep of world-class museums, galleries and the famous Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley park. Don't miss the Museum of Anthropology at UBC! It's a favourite of mine. Kitsilano is the perfect location to relax and unwind, yet is still just a few minutes from downtown and UBC. If you like the charm of 100 year old neighbourhood with one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants than this is the place for you. Don't forget that we're just a few blocks from the water with some of the most spectacular sunsets Canada has to offer.
