3 bedrooms apartment well located in the heart of Madrid

This charming apartment is in a second floor no lift/elevator. The entrance hall, with a wonderful stained glass and a big mirror, leads into a large living/dining area with four large Windows to a 11 meters long balcony facing onto the Plaza Mayor. It is furnished with a combination of antique and contemporary furniture; the living room area with 3-seater sofa, a chair and a coffee table is on one side and a round table for 6 people on the other side, with nice views over the Plaza Mayor. There are three bedrooms along the hall. The master bedroom (queen-sized bed) has an en suite bathroom, the second is a double bedroom and also there is a twin smaller bedroom. There are two more comfortable bathrooms with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a 4-ring hob (stove), oven, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer and breakfast table. There is wood parquet flooring throughout, except for the bathrooms and kitchen.

The Plaza Mayor was built during the Habsburg period and is a central plaza in the city of Madrid, Spain. It is located only a few blocks away from another famous plaza, the Puerta del Sol. The Plaza Mayor is rectangular in shape, measuring 129 by 94 meters, and is surrounded by three-story residential buildings having 237 balconies facing the Plaza. It has a total of nine entranceway. The Casa de la Panadería, serving municipal and cultural functions, dominates the Plaza Mayor.

El Madrid de los Austrias (English: The Madrid of the Austrians or the Habsburgs) is a name used for the old centre of Madrid, built during the reign of the Habsburg Dynasty, known in Spain as Casa de Austria. The area is located south of the Calle Mayor, in between the Metro stations Sol and Opera.

  • ATTENTION: we have a minimum stay of 1 week, and only rent for less when there's a window available in between reservations.

    10€/extra extra child (4-18 years)

    Security deposit: 300€ to 600€

    Booking payment: 25%.
    Balance: Cash/credit card upon arrival (Payment with Credit Card is subject to a 1% charge. 3% Surcharge for payments with American Express).

    Security Deposit:
    at arrival, guests will be asked to pay a security deposit as a guarantee for damages with credit card. This deposit will be refunded automatically 48 hours after the end of the stay.

    Seasonal rates:
    +20.00% for Easter 5 nights min.
  • Check In:
    When you arrive to the apartment, a FSH team member will provide you with all of the relevant infomation about the property and its surrounding area. You will be asked to sign the rental contract and entry form, show your passport and your credit card and pay the security deposit. You will then be handed the keys to your new apartment in Madrid!

    We ask all of our clients to follow our apartment checkin Policy:
    • Checkin hours are between 3:00pm and 9:00pm.
    • If you would like to checkin before 3:00pm we will do our utmost to acomódate yo. If an earlier Checkin is not posible, you are more than welcome to leave your luggage in the apartment, go out and begin exploring Madrid and return to the aprtment as of 3:00pm.
    • If you would like to Checkin after 9:00pm and additional fee of 30€ will be charged until 11:00pm and Sundays; and any Checkins later that time will be charged 50€.
  • Check Out:
    To ensure that everything goes smoothly, we kindly ask you to indicate your estimated time of departure beforehand sending us an email.

    On the day of your Check Out, you must vacate the apartment before 11:00am. We kindly ask that you inspect the apartment before leaving, dispose of any garbage, and leave the keys on the living room table. Our cleaning team will arrive at 11:00am to clean and to review the apartment inventory.

    If you would like to leave the apartment alter 11:00am we will do our utmost to acomódate your needs; however, it is vital that you inform us your plans in advance. If a late departure cannot be arranged, you are more than welcome to leave your packed luggage in the apartment and return to pick up befote 3:00pm.

    Season rates:

    +20.00% 1st May Holidays 4 nights min.
    +20.00% for Gay pride
    +20.00% for christmas and new year eve, 7 nights minimum stay.

Nice apartment in amazing location

This is a very nice apartment directly on the Plaza Mayor. You really cannot beat the location for sightseeing, food (the Mercado San Miguel is right around the corner) and convenience. It's wonderful to be able to look out over the activity on the Plaza Mayor day and night, and yet with the windows and curtains closed it is surprisingly quiet. The bedrooms are very quiet as they are through french doors off the living room. The plumbing is a little funky and the kitchen and third bedroom are a bit grim, but these are small complaints about an otherwise terrific apartment.

An Oasis in Madrid

I have just spent a week with my family in this wonderful apartment, overlooking one of Madrid's most popular tourist attractions. Many an hour was spent on the three balconies overlooking the Plaza Mayor enjoying the street entertainers. The apartment has all the mod cons that you would require, including three bathrooms (with walk in showers). The only criticism I would make, and that is very minor, is that the third bedroom is very small (ideal for children, but not adults). I do visit Madrid on a number of occasions, as I have a Spanish friend who lives in Cheuca. Will certainly stay in the apartment again on my next visit. I would like to thank the owner of the apartment for allowing us to share his beautiful home.

PLaza Mayor Apartment - what a view!

A beautiful apratment, it's most fantastic feature being the wide 3-windowed baclony overlooking the Plaza Mayor - most definitely a room with a view. Great entertainment to be had watching all the comings and goings in the Plaza bleow whilst enjoying a glass of cava on the balcony (I too loved clacking goat and fat spiderman!).

Clean and well-equipped, the apartment has everything you need. 2 good sized double bedrooms with comfortable beds, 3rd a little small. Bedrooms peaceful at night. Air con worked well. Wonderful having 3 bathrooms with good showers when there's 6 of you staying.

San Miguel Market round the corner good for lunch - violet icecream to die for, do try it! Fabulous tapas at Los Gatos, near the Prado (Calle de Jesus I think). One of the very best things about the apartment is its location - walked everywhere - and so nice to have the apartment to come home to.

By far the nicest place I have stayed in Madrid. Enjoy your stay!

super centrally based apartment in wonderful city

We hired this apartment at relatively short notice and the owner was efficient and informative about the renting options he could offer over the city.
THis apartment is without doubt is fantastic from many angles. The apartment location is stunning overlooking the cafe and entertainers in the beautiful Plaza Major. Heavy curtains and double windows mean that there is no disturbance when its time to sleep too. The apartment is superbly decorated and fitted. Spacious airy rooms with luxury fittings. Bonus having 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is well fitted with every amenity but having so many wonderful restaurants nearby away from the main tourist square, cooking meals would seem a wasted opportunity. Sharing breakfast on the table overlooking the square is a lovely way to start the day.
The tourist information centre is literally underneath the apartment so everything you could need is on hand.
THe owner was very friendly and flexible in our departure times to ensure we enjoyed as much of our time in Madrid as possible,
It is 100% certain that we will be returning to Madrid again.

Perfect place to stay downtown Madrid

The perfect place to stay if you are looking for an apartment in the heart of Madrid.
The location is clean in good shape, the owner provide immediate service when a light wasn't working in one of the bathroom. I strongly recommend this place for anyone that wants a place where ones can walk everywhere downtown Madrid.
