But don't worry if you are not a golfer - this is still one of the best places to stay to explore the local region from the famous medieval walled city of Guerande, picturesque little fishing ports like Le Croisic, la Turballe or Le Pouligen, or the local salt productions or just to laze on the excellent local beaches. Main beach town La Baule is regarded as one the most chic resorts of France like Cannes or Deauville and has some beautiful shops - however near to these villas it also has preserved local nature parks and protected bird areas away from the bustle of town. Every sport is catered for from sailing to horse riding, stroll along the ports or even go to the Casino! or give yourself a pamper at the excellent Thalasso therapy spa centre with some physiotherapy, and the latest beauty treatments - we have reduced prices for you at the thalasso. Nearby, 4 miles away, is the 12 kilometres of La Baule beach generally agreed to be the « best beach in Europe».

Golf:
Fleurs de Lys is set in the grounds of the golf course, by hole 12 and 13 - the main pro shop and club house is just a short drive nearby and this is now the biggest group of courses in western France - 36 holes 9 holes and a practice. Reductions off green fees for the 18 hole golf course at La Baule and Lessons all months hve reductions too except July/August .
The Fleur de Lys is 6 kilometres from the sea, on the Golf International Barrière La Baule and is one of Europe's most splendid golf sites and extends over more than 220 hectares along the edge of the Briere Regional Park. There are 3 courses designed by Peter Aliss and Dave Thomas (1976), Michel Gayon ( 1994 and 2000 ) :Lucien Barriere 18 holes 6,622 yards, par72. The presence of several water obstacles makes these greens a delicate challenge; Diane Barriere Desseigne 18 holes 6,890 yards, par72. This course offers a clear contrast of styles between holes out in the wide open, and those which weave their way around a 5 hectare lake; Francois Andre 9 holes 3,238 yards, par36.
