2,200 square foot home on two levels.
This is a put your feet up and relax home.
The main floor features modern stainless appliances in the kitchen, family room with HD flat screen tv and DVR, and Blue Ray DVD.
There is an eating area off of kitchen, plus dining room, living room with HD flat screen tv and Blue Ray DVD player and wifi accessible to your Netflix account (or maybe ours--if someone has not logged us out) and connection to the internet.
Small master bedroom on main floor with pillow-top queen mattress and full bath off the master. HUGE closet and small loft with single bed for that child or grandchild to camp out. (An adult could sleep up there if needed) 42' Flatscreen Smart TV hooked up to Netflix and local cable.
Living room, kitchen, eating area, dining room, all look out of the pool and back yard.
Upstairs, there is a full master suite, featuring pillow-top king bed, master bath (two master sinks, shower stall, soaker tub and private water closet. The spacious walk-in closet completes the suite. HD flat screen tv with local cable and wifi access to your Netflix account.
Another full bath services the other two upstairs bedrooms. One features a queen, pillow-top bed and the other has two twin beds with a tv/vcr combination and VHS movies.
The upper floor has a separate A/C system for your sleeping comfort.
The main floor has its own A/C system for your daily comfort and for the comfort of the main floor master bedroom.
Th kitchen features new stainless appliances, Denby dinnerware and Le Creuset stainless cookware, and a fully stocked kitchen.
There may be soaps, detergents, cleaning supplies, staples, spices, etc., so do a quick inventory before you shop for your needs.
(Whenever we travel VRBO, we ALWAYS pack a roll of toilet paper and a bar of soap to take with us. Just in case)

This is NOT a 55+ community.
This is a quite, family neighbourhood with small children and parks.
Loud noises and parties will not be tolerated.
Very quiet and private
Barking dogs are not tolerated. If you have a dog that barks a lot--keep it indoors.
Dogs are not to be running unleashed in the neighbourhood.
There is a great park 1/2 block away.
You must carry a plastic bag with you and pick up after your pooch.
Any fines for the above infractions will be billed to renter or deducted from damage deposit.
Additional $100.00 cleaning charge is required as carpets must be cleaned after each rental with pet.
Remember: This home is located in a desert community. There are birds, insects, and other native desert plants and critters. Our home is safe, clean and secure, but mother nature lives in the neighbourhood as well. We have neighbours and they and their pets can sometimes be seen and heard.
The home features a beautiful, private and secure, in-ground swimming pool. (may not be warm enough for your tastes from October through April--but heat is available at extra charge.)
Yard is fenced by 8 foot concrete wall and steel locked gate for outside access.
Gardening and pool maintenance included in your rental fee.
Skimmer is provided for renter to skim surface of pool to preference, pool is vacuumed automatically every night.

French-door fridge and freezer--including ice maker and filtered water.
Natural Gas VIKING BBQ (no propane tanks to refill-ever!)
Garage parking for one car
Payment methods negotiable.
Terrific little park with playground less than one block away.
Guests are responsible for moving garbage/recycling bins to and from the curb. Bins must be out of site when not at curb for pickup.
Homeowner Association fines incurred by guests are the responsibility of guests.
Rental deposit refundable up to 60 days before the beginning of the tenancy.

My wife and I are a professional couple and live in Victoria, British Columbia. We have winter vacationed in the southwest for since the early 90's. We both golf, run, bike and swim. We discovered Palm Springs a couple of years ago, and decided that the area is a wonderful spot for all those activities. While we are not ready to retire, we bought this retirement home in the established and gated community of Parc La Quinta.

This property is located in a quiet, gated community a short stroll from the Old Town of La Quinta with its bars and restaurants. While surrounded by easy-going neigbours, the back yard and pool area is very private. (NOT 55+, no age restrictions)
This is one of our personal homes, not solely a revenue property.
It is a fully-equipped personal home--complete with spices, staples and home goods that are for your use as well.
2 1/2 block walk to the closest Starbucks. Couple of more blocks and you are at Old Town La Quinta, 5 to 10 minute drive to Costco, Trader Joe's, Target, Wal-Mart. Ralphs, Vons, Lowes and Home Depot. Community features soaring 40 foot palms and mature vegetation.
Kids will love the pool!
We have chosen to rent the home without heat for the pool. As energy conservationists, we cover the pool when it is heated. If you are willing to keep it covered when not in use--particularly at night--then a rate for the pool heat can be negotiated.
Generally from November through April the rate is an additional $400.00 US per month with heat.
La Quinta is located in the heart of the Coachella Valley. A two hour drive to Los Angeles or San Diego. Golfer and tennis player's paradise.
