We're an active mature couple who have been coming to Palm Springs for many years. This year we decided to buy into the resort that we love the most. Where family and friends can visit and feel safe, happy and comfortable.
We've been in the rental business dba Portland Properties OR. LLC since 1992 but only recently decided to invest in this lifestyle.
We love The Oasis because of it's tranquil atmosphere, it's friendly efficient staff and friendly guests. The lush tropical, immaculately clean grounds appeal to us and because of it's laid back, relaxing atmosphere free of rowdy teenagers. We like to read and sunbathe by a quiet pool in the mornings and stargaze from one of the 9 spas at night. It's so conveniently located too. Close to everything the valley has to offer from golf right next door to gourmet dining across the street. Grocery store and upscale resale shops within walking distance and short drive to downtown, the valley towns and airport. We like to hike the trails across hwy 111 from the resort and the Indian Lands a couple miles away with their palm tree lined trails, cool creeks, mountain vistas and unbelievable cave with cooling waterfall inside. Sightseeing from the aerial tram summit restaurant and mountains surrounding the valley and Joshua Tree National Park mesmerize us. The spectacularly colorful sunrises and sunsets are a sight to behold.
Smallish resort that's not overly commercialized. Low, low, low density single story and 2 level Spanish style residences with brick and stucco facades and columns with ivy and honey suckle clinging to them. That's what we love about this resort and separates this resort from others. Sprawling, lush, tropical landscaped grounds and lawns with shaded jogging trails, 8 pools, 9 spas and tennis courts that beat all others we've visited. Beautiful, casual clubhouse to mingle with other guests, equipped with TV, PC, video and book library. Plus large pool and deck featuring pool and other activities for guests. And a nice Water Park a mile or so down the street with one of the highest and steepest water slides we've ever seen, with long 'floating river' for slowly meandering around the park.
