Horseshoe Bay House Rental Photos and Description
3 bedroom on the water!
Relaxing getaway, party in the creek, kayaking/SUP adventure, or boating and skiing on the lake? Your decision on a day by day basis!! In a relaxed setting with large Oak trees, upper covered deck for barbecue and sitting plus lower deck and dock with swim area and jet ski ramps / fishing area. It also has a large yard, fire pit, and real grill for your use.
The home can sleep 8-9 people in beds. We also have a cot available upon request.
The master bedroom includes a king-size bed. There is also a full bathroom with shower attached to the master. The front bedroom has a queen size bed as well and views of the water. The back bedroom has a bunk bed with a full size bed on bottom, twin on top. The sun room has a twin bed plus a trundle bed.
The house also includes fully furnished kitchen, dining area, two full bathrooms and living area with a 50 inch HD TV, Xbox 360, Blu-Ray, plenty of board games, and Internet access for your enjoyment.
Overlooking the water is the game room with a computer / writing desk, games closet, and a game / poker table. Going outside from the game room there is a covered deck with tables, chairs, firepit, and bbq pit to enjoy the outdoors (bring materials for smores over the fire pit!) There is also a sitting area in the front of the house.
The openness of the kitchen/living room and the sun room make this a great social vacation getaway. The home has central heating and air conditioning. The property has an updated interior and the dock / deck is brand new!
You may launch your boat in our neighborhood's private boat ramp and tie up to the dock. The waterway is a no wake zone and low traffic, so there is little disturbance. Swimming off the back of the house is really fun and safe - it is only about 4' deep, so take a beer (no glass!) out with you stand around and relax as your kids swim around you! Or take a stand up paddle board, kayak, or canoe up the creek for a relaxing journey.
What do we do when visiting the house? Drop the boat in, tie it to the dock for the weekend when not in use, swim/play on the lake during the day or explore the hill country, bbq with our favorite beverage in the afternoon, then at night: sit around the firepit, watch a movie, play board games, or night fishing! For a mini day-trip, go into Marble Falls (Main Street and Blue Bonnet Cafe!), Johnson City, Llano, Burnet, Austin and many other hill country towns / attractions that are fun to explore within easy driving distance of our location!
Lake LBJ is the only constant level lake (we have water!) in the Texas Hill Country, and it offers water skiing, jet skiing, tubing, and has an abundance of fish for that fisherman in the family (Pecan Creek is known for great fishing and we have caught a good number of fish off the back dock!)
A non-refundable damage deposit of $49.00 is required, prepay by credit card. NO SMOKERS, PETS Okay if behaved or crate contained. Home has towels, sheets and all bedding, a fully furnished kitchen, washer and dryer, fire pit, large yard, boat cleats on dock, community boat ramp for ingress and egress, Large HDTV, satellite (DirectTV), Xbox 360, Blu-Ray DVD, wireless internet service with modem. Any violations of the rental contract or these rules constitutes an immediate eviction without refund. $125 Cleaning fee is assessed for each rental.

The Godwin family lives in nearby Lakeway, TX (near Austin and Lake Travis). David Godwin is a business owner that grew up in Sugar Land, TX. David and his two daughters own the lake house and when at the house they are doing ALOT of swimming off the backyard, 'testing' great board games to add to the game collection for guests, looking for the next big fish to catch from the dock, and enjoying fresh baked pie at Blue Bonnet Cafe!
We were looking for a unique waterfront property that had great oak trees, was quiet but had easy access to the busier part of the lake.
Once we found the Pecan Creek inlet on LBJ we knew it was right. There are regularly paddle boarders and kayakers lazily cruising down the creek as well as the occasional ski boat and jet ski exploring or heading back to dock. The ability to easily swim / relax in the water off the back yard was really important to us.
You cannot easily kayak or paddle board on the main body of the lake, but the creek being a no wake area makes it great for all calm water activities (SUP, kayaking, and fishing) with easy access to the main body for boating, jet ski's, skiing, and tubing!
