Overview

Swannanoa House Rental Photos and Description

2,800 sf treehouse, 7 private acres.

Perched high on the side of a mountain at the end of a pristine, forested drive, with tree lined views from every room.

An amazing natural stone wall welcomes you to a beautifully decorated living room, offset by a wood burning fireplace visible from the living and dining areas.

A separate dining room makes you feel as though you're suspended into the trees, proving an amazing view. A large dining table provides seating for up to 10.

The master bedroom on the main floor features a king bed, large flat screen television, and a master bath with a large tile shower, double sinks, granite counter top and two walk-in closets. A second bedroom features a cozy king bed and large flat screen tv, and shares a full bath with a third bedroom with a twin daybed which converts to a queen bed.

A large family room is located on the lower level/walk-out basement and features a wood burning stove encased in a large brick fireplace, comfortable queen size sofa bed, and 55 inch flat screen Smart television.

A fourth bedroom is also on this floor with two twin beds, which can be pushed together to make a king, as well as a full bath with a tub/shower.

All four bedrooms have wonderful tree line views. Just lie in bed and enjoy the view.

Enjoy preparing meals in the fully equipped, gourmet kitchen, which includes full size, stainless steel appliances and lots of great cooking equipment. A pub table with two chairs sits at one end of the kitchen – because we know everyone loves to be in the kitchen.

The large deck is complete with a gas BBQ grill, patio chairs and an outdoor dining table and is completely private for the perfect place to relax while you listen to the sounds of the creek flowing down the mountain.

A don't forget to take in the view from the fantastic new hot tub - it's great!

(While no smoking is allowed inside the house, we provide sand buckets outside should you wish to smoke on the deck).

Completely furnished for style and comfort, the house will accommodate up to 10 people.

Get the best of mountain, luxury living and the fabulously, eclectic and fun Asheville vibe!

About Tonya Bennert

We're a couple who love exploring new cultures and spending time outdoors with our dogs, 'Baxter' and 'Julius Caesar Salad'. We've stayed at some great places, like Ireland and New York City, and are now offering fun vacation stays at 'The Asheville 'Treehouse.' You'll have a wonderful time!

David's an engineering manager and designs glass plants around the world, and Tonya's a marketing executive with a nonprofit organization.

David and I both love Asheville and hope you enjoy all of the amazingly beautiful things the area has to offer. If you like, we're happy to share our favorite things to do too - some of the favorite local hangouts.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The Asheville Treehouse is a true gem. It is impeccabilly appointed and very private. We were there in a snowstorm and the house was a very lovely place to be inside. Tonya was very communicative and made us feel very welcome with emails and a detailed book in the house. We would love to return.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

  • 5 of 5
We had such a great stay at the Asheville Treehouse. Highlights were family meals at the large dining table, the super comfortable beds and linens and the coziness of the home. It was perfect for our 4 kids and 4 adults. We had plenty of space and the location was great. The owners were kind enough to give us some local insight via email before we arrived and we took a few of their suggestions. We would definitely stay there again!

Excellent Accommodations!

  • 5 of 5
The Asheville Treehouse is a wonderful accommodation tucked into the woods of North Carolina, just minutes from downtown Asheville and many other points of interest. Even though you are literally 5 minutes from civilization (i.e. grocery store, gas station, coffee shop, restaurants) you feel like you are a million miles away. Our family enjoyed cooking and eating around the big dining table, relaxing in the hot tub, watching a big football game on the big screened TV, etc. It was perfect, because each "group" of our family had its own area of the house, which is kinda divided into three areas (2 upstairs and one downstairs). The lovely woods around the house made it a perfect setting for this fall getaway. Thank you, Tonya and David for your beautiful home that you share.

Excellent accommodations!

  • 5 of 5
The Asheville Treehouse was perfect! The accommodations were comfortable, and well equipped, the location easily accessible to many major points of interest, and the setting was relaxing and peaceful. Just minutes from downtown Asheville, yet you feel you are a million miles away. Our family had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub, cooking meals and sitting around the large dining room table, and yet, everyone had their own "space" as the house is divided into really 3 different areas which allowed each group to have their own space. You can't go wrong with this gem in the woods.

Girl's Weekend

We had an absolute blast at the Asheville Treehouse! The views are stunning and were perfect for morning coffee and an evening glass of wine. We spent every evening cooking in the state-of-the art kitchen followed with a soak in the jacuzzi. The updated decor, kitchen and bathrooms created perfectly comfortable spaces that felt like a home away from home. It was a great place to relax and spend time with one another. I will definitely be bringing my family back here!

Fairview Forest is an exclusive, private community on the side of Arrowhead Mountain, 15 minutes from downtown Asheville.

Local coffee and fresh baked goods, fresh cheeses and more, can be found at Troyer’s Country Amish Blatz, just at the bottom of the mountain. And if you’d like an espresso, venture just a couple of miles further to Mountain Mojo for even more fresh baked goods and self-serve savory foods. You’ll be 5 minutes from a major grocery chain (Food Lion), as well as great food at The Local Joint, Piazza, Trout Lily Healthy Mini Market, and Pizza and More on 74. A complete list and menus will be waiting for you when you arrive.

Asheville offers so much! Incredible galleries, the best dining, arts, and live entertainment, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the world famous Biltmore House and Gardens and Winery and Grove Park Inn & Spa and Golf Resort.

Other area attractions and activities include the quaint town of Weaverville, the 435-acre North Carolina Arboretum, the Pisgah National Forest (mountain biking, swimming, hiking), horseback riding, balloon rides, skiing at Wolf Laurel, relaxing at the historic Hot Springs Spa, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, Chimney Rock Park, Grandfather Mountain, the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, and, of course, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

We’ve also got lots of personal favorite spots in the area we would be happy to share with you.

In winter months, a four-wheel drive is recommended in case of snow.
