'Villa Gaia' consists of two lovingly restored 'rustico' (typical Tuscan cottage) wich lie in an ancient olive garden, very peaceful, located in the heart of the Versilia. The two fascinating country houses have been entirely renovated in 2010. The entire property is very quiet, sunny and has a wonderful views of the Versilia hills. The whirlpool area of the swimming pool, only treated with natural salt, will invite you to enjoy unforgettable relaxing moments after your daily journeys to Florence and Pisa, one hour far by motorway. The swimming pool is open from may the 15th to the end of september. Cooking seminars and gastronomic dinners available on request for the guests.

Tourist informations: Lucca, with her surrounding Middle Age wall, is the main center of the region – Gastronomic experiences and rural tourism here are the musts. Cities of art Florence and Pisa are one hour far. 'Le Cinque Terre' are easily reached by train within a day's journey. The region is widely known for its typical cuisine, their vineyards and its extra virgin olive oil. Also available on site a professional cook on demand. A Golf course of 18 holes is available 10 km far in the elegant beach resort 'Forte dei Marmi'. All international boutiques are available for shopping. There is also a well known street market seated twice per week.

Check-in and check-out: The guests are kindly ask to arrive between 5h:00 pm and 7h:00 pm on saturday. On saturday too the check-out before 10h:00 am. The owners Paola and Lucio will be glad to hear from you any requests about reaching destinations, booking restaurants and other needs.

Cooking seminars: During your staying cooking lessons could be organized or else a dinner can be prepared for you on request by our cook.

Ideal base for a Tuscan holiday!

We had a wonderful week at 'La Torretta' - the house was lovely, peaceful and comfortable with everything we needed! The kitchen was very well-equipped and we ate almost every meal al fresco. It was a great size for two couples; enough space and privacy for all. The covered patio, garden and pool were beautiful, perfect for relaxing. All in all, a terrific base for exploring the area. Paola and Lucio were gracious and charming hosts. We only wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you!

A Fantastic Place To Stay

We had a fantastic stay here - it has everything you could possibly want and more. The house is very well appointed, it's decor is classic and well done. The house has acces to a great swimming pool, a wonderful outside eating area which is secluded and comfortable - with an excellent BBQ. The kitchen had everything that was needed, the rooms were very comfortable. All in all an excellent place to saty, cannot recommend it enough - the owners were very helpful, they arranged to meet us in the local town on day of arrival, showed us key places (like supermarket), we then followed them to the house itself, they had also arranged for us to eat at the local restaurant the first evening - all very helpful. The owners were on hand if you needed anything and also made some great suggestions for places to see and visit. Lucca is a must, make sure you have time to find a peach farm - superb fresh fruit. Make sure you take your mossie creams, but overall a fantastic place for a wonderfully relaxed stay - see if you get to see the chap taking his owl for a walk; yes I am serious!

Peaceful villa

This is a lovely villa, comfortably and stylishly furnished. There is shaded outdoor dining area and the pool is excellent. The nearby area is quiet.
Paola and Lucio were extremely helpful, meeting us in the nearby town of Camaiore when we arrived and providing us with a welcoming Pasta salad the next day.
We had a relaxing and happy holiday and hope to return next year.
Owner's Response: The "Villa Gaia" residence is the result of choice than we did 25 years ago: to leave the big city in search of a better place where the quality of life was the best possible. Now a part of our little paradise is also available for you to escape the stress and noise of the city and enjoy special holiday of rest and relaxation.
