Most Kinsale properties are in the center of the town with front doors opening onto the streets. Our house is positioned in the middle of Castlepark village. It is within a 60 seconds walk to the beach, the marina and about 40 seconds to the pub (A little longer on the way back depending on how many 'Pints' you had). A nice ground floor property comprising of a very large open plan lounge, dining room, kitchen, with 2 bedrooms and a main bathroom.
Unique features include vaulted ceilings with exposed timbers and plenty of natural light. Our house can accommodate up to 4 people. At Castlepark you have a choice of courtyard, lawn, beach, marina and pub all at your doorstep. Or try the many restaurants in Kinsale which is only a few minutes drive.
Castlepark is uniquely positioned in Kinsale, the development itself has won many awards and was most recently referenced in Journal of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (May 2007).
The 'Kinsale Gourmet Festival' is held in October of each year and is a celebration of all the fine things that Kinsale has to offer.

My wife and I and our two daughters spent four nights here over the Christmas holiday. What a relaxing and beautiful setting! We loved both the town of Kinsale and the accommodation. Noel and Liz were there to greet us and give us a tour of the home and some great pointers on things to do in the area (even though we arrived quite late and more than an hour after we told them we'd be there due to a delayed ferry. They had the house warm with a fire built and even had a Christmas tree there for us. We would definately stay here again when we're back in the area.

We are glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us Ryan. Yes the location is fantastic with plenty to do for all ages or as you say, just to relax. Summer is even better again so please do tell your friends and we welcome you back anytime.
Noel & Liz.
I had a wonderful stay in this lovely home where I enjoyed walks up to James Fort to take in the beauty of the area and then down to the beach to relax. It was nice to have a very short walk to the pub, the Dock, to sit on the deck and soak up the sunshine while enjoying a fine Irish coffee. It was also very convenient to have only a short 20 minute walk into Kinsale to do some shopping.
This home is so bright and cozy with charming decorations, extremely comfortable furnishings and a well equipped kitchen. It was so enjoyable to return to this comfy place after being out and about all day. I look forward to returning next time I'm in Kinsale.
We had a wonderful stay at Liz and Noel's house. We stayed here with our two children of 9 & 11, there is a large communal garden for the kids to play in and the beach is less than a minutes walk away, which also leads up to James Fort, which was great for walks and playing everyday. The Dock pub sits on the harbour a minutes walk, where the children did crabbing whilst we had refreshments served by the friendly staff, unfortunately they don't serve food here. Kinsale town is a 5 minute drive where there are plenty of restaurants, cafés and pubs.
The house is bright and clean and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We are planning our return in the summer.
Lovely Bungalow in a perfect location. Easter week-end brought lots of visitors to kinsale, and this location is peaceful and relaxing, yet close enough to the town to soak up the fantastic atmosphere. The house is very clean and well maintained and is well equipped. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. Plenty of good places to eat in the area, we tried 3 different eateries, our favourite being Jim Edwards Bar & Restaurant (we ate there 3 times). A visit to the spectacular Old Head of Kinsale is a must, and just a short car journey away. We came to Kinsale for a relaxing away from it all break, and this was perfect. Thank you Liz and Noel.
Our second time, and I hope not our last, in this gem of a holiday house just 2km from the centre of Kinsale. The house is beautiful and fully equipped. The small private development at the Dock marina, with direct private access to the only Beach in Kinsale, is beautifully designed and maintained. The owners, Noel and Liz, provide a very personalised service leaving nothing wanting for your holiday stay. Our 10 year old son availed of a water sports camp with a local water sports school for the 3rd year running and loved it. Our 13 year old son enjoyed windsurfing and deep sea diving activities arranged from kinsale harbour. And we enjoyed magnificent guided walks and cycling tracks to the many historical sites in and around Kinsale. The whole family was spoilt for choice with the rich array of restaurants and cafe's to eat in during our stay. I would want to stay nowhere else whenever I holiday in Kinsale! Booking already for next year. Thank you Noel and Liz, Fiona Gerry and Boys
The two bedroom cottage was terrific! The place was absolutely spotless, very nicely decorated, nice kitchen and a well furnished and very comfortable living room. The cottage is a pleasant 25 to 30 minute walk to the center of Kinsale. The cottage is also a very short walk to a beach as well as to the ruins of an old fort. The Dock pub is about a one minute walk from the cottage; THe Dock is a very pleasant and hospitable place.
If you don't feel like walking to or from Kinsale, a taxicab ride costs about 8 Euros and takes just a few minutes..With regard to local attractions: Kinsale itself is a great little town; Man Friday and Fishy Fishy are great places to eat.
The owners were very helpful. In all respects, we were completely satisfied with this rental.
Perfect location. Just a 5 minute taxi journey from the centre of Kinsale (8 euros) or a pleasant 25 minute stroll.
The photos don't do the house justice. It is much bigger, bright and airy than it looks in the photos. Noel and Liz were there to greet us and show us around the house which was a nice touch. The house is well equipped with everything you would need.
The Dock Inn pub is great for a drink and only a minute's walk away. Kinsale itself is fantastic with great pubs and restaurants and everyone is very friendly. Try Finn's Table. Hoby's or the Bulman Inn for great food.
