With its tranquil surf, beautiful beach, and warm climate, Isle of Palms is ideal for a family vacation or a romantic retreat for just the two of you. Unit #101 is located just steps from the beach access and the complex-owned private fishing pier, both gated. This is a first floor unit and still has an amazing, tropical view down the beach!

Our condo, Shipp's Treasure, is an end unit so you have only the dunes with the sand and sea beyond. The southeast facing window provides that extra sunlight that is only afforded to the end units. Beautiful, lush vegetation on the dunes maintains your privacy as well as the custom plantation shutters! This close to the ocean, you can open the doors and really feel the warm ocean breeze!

Shipp's Treasure is one of the nicest units in the complex with extensive renovations including; ceramic tile flooring, beautiful granite countertops in kitchen and bath, abundant pantry storage with custom pull-out drawers, full-size range, bead-board cabinetry, tiled shower with glass doors and additional shower wand, flat screen HD TVs in both living area and bedroom, and dual sleeper sofas. We are unit 101 on the first floor, just 10 stairs to the private boardwalk. Possibly the shortest walk from the complex to the ocean, pier, and one of the picnic/grill areas, and the pool is just a few more steps beyond. The pool house has a laundry facility that offers new commercial grade washers and dryers for those longer stays or off-season retreats.

Our condo is less than 14 miles from the city of Charleston. In downtown Charleston, get a real sense of early America and enjoy the southern charm and beauty of this historic location, voted the #1 city in America by Conde Naste Traveler magazine! Shop at the Old Market, take a horse drawn carriage ride down cobblestone streets, cruise the world famous waterfront Battery, or take an evening Ghost Tour! With our deep love of Charleston and Isle of Palms, and with family only minutes away in Mt. Pleasant, it was inevitable that we would own property on the island, and this property is the perfect location! The condo offers everything that we love about the low country; beautiful scenery, a quick stroll to the restaurants and shops on IOP, and easy access to all the culture, shopping, and experiences that Mt. Pleasant and Charleston have to offer.

Our family has been coming to the area since our oldest children, now grown, were youngsters and hope to create many more lasting memories with our youngest child and (someday) grandchildren! We feel truly blessed to have this 'home' on the island to call our own.

We love the toned down, family atmosphere; the short walk to island shops and iconic restaurants, watching the dolphins play in the surf and the waters of Breach Inlet, and the fact that we are only minutes from beautiful Charleston!

PERFECT LOCATION ON ISLE OF PALMS

Perfect space for my husband, daughter (16) and myself to get away and enjoy the beach. Had a little snafu at the very beginning of our stay but within an hour Paul had everything taken care of. Thank you! This condo is feet from the beach and a beautiful beach it is! I wouldn't suggest more than 4 adult size people. Kitchen is well stocked and you could truly cook if you wanted to. I was pleasantly surprised how quite it was at Sea Cabins. Nice, clean and updated. I will check to see if this condo is available the next time we head to Isle of Palms! Several restaurants within walking distance. New grocery store right up the street. Beach is clean and well maintained. Couldn't have been happier with our vacation time here. Charleston is a short ride away and Mt Pleasant has hundreds of different restaurants. We did a tour out of the local marina that was lots of fun. Make sure and take a ride over to Sullivan's Island, the next Island over. They have a great BBQ place!

RELAXING ANNIVERSARY TRIP!

Enjoyed our week at the condo, it was very nice to be so close to the beach and the facilities were well maintained around the complex. Everything was very clean! The condo itself was very nice and had everything we needed. One thing that would make it a little more appealing is if the bushes that are growing on the sand dunes were trimmed. This would allow better visibility of the ocean from all the windows in the unit. I would definitely recommend staying here to others!

Owner's Response: Thank you for posting your review! It's always nice to hear how much the travelers enjoy our condo during their stay. We strive to keep it clean and well-stocked so that each guest has the most pleasurable and relaxing experience possible.

As for the vegetation on the dune, we've considered trying to get this trimmed down some to enhance the beach view in that direction and have approached our HOA with the request but they are reluctant to do this. I'm not sure if it is because of the strict regulations governing alteration of the dunes, or if it is simply a cost issue. Personally, we feel that the lush vegetation has a beautiful tropical look and provides some nice privacy during the crowded beach months but we will continue to investigate the possibility of trimming them back a little. In the meantime, the view down the beach from the deck remains a beautiful sight!

OCEAN BREEZES AND SPRING SEASONS

Small but very nicely appointed condo right on the beach as advertised. Screen door to balcony and entrance captures the ocean breeze and it flows right through the condo!! Nice having several restaurants withing walking distance and all the sights of Charleston (Chucktown) just a short drive away. Enjoy!!

IOP CONDO

The condo was very nice and clean, with all the amenities. Although the condo was a little cramped for space, the location was perfect. Steps to the beach and a short walk to the main street. Charleston is only 20' away. there are two great golf courses within 10'.
IOP could use a decent coffee shop!

We continually feel blessed to have this comfortable place right on the beach and we strive to keep it fully updated and equipped for our renters' enjoyment. We never tire of the island shops and restaurants and the short 20 minute ride to Charleston opens up a wealth of shopping and dining opportunities with plenty of renowned 4-stars to choose from.

As for good coffee, ask and ye shall receive! The brand new Harris Teeter grocery store at the corner of Palm Drive and the IOP Connector (5 minute walk from the condo) is due to open in the spring of 2014 and will reportedly have a name brand coffee shop. We'll miss the old Red & White grocery store, an island icon, but the HT will have so much more to offer in terms of choice and quantity. Looking forward to trying it on our next family visit to the IOP.

AMAZING HIDDEN BEACH FRONT GEM

WOW.... We arrived, unpacked, and headed directly to the beach, which was only steps away. This hidden gem is right at the heart of IOP, and yet you feel so secluded and private. The layout was perfect, and all you need. We loved that you even had your own fishing pier right there. Waking up to the sound of the ocean was wonderful. You can not beat the price on this completely updated and brand new condo. Charleston is a quick drive, or taxi ride away. It's the best of both worlds, Charleston, and the Beach! We can not wait to come back.
