San Ramon Cottage Rental Photos and Description
What's your Pura Vida?
Vista Valverde is a B&B property with 2 guest houses, or cabinas en espanol, located 4000 ft above the Pacific Ocean in the mountains of San Ramon. With views all the way to the Nicoya Peninsula, Isle Tortuga and beyond, and almost to Volcan Arenal in the other direction, the views of the landscapes change daily as the clouds roll in and out. Our 2 bedroom cabin is our most popular and contains 2 separate bedrooms each with their own en suite bathroom and entrance from the terrace. Joining the 2 bedrooms is the common living area and kitchen. All local woods and granite throughout, leather couch and local Sarchi furnishings make this cabin truly beautiful. Even the clouds can't help but come right in the door from time to time. The construciton of the cabina itself is completely sound and only a few years old with screens in the upper windows and full walled windows in each bedroom to make the most of the beautiful outdoors and Pacific views. Surrounded by gardens, walkways and sitting areas, as well as your own parking area and sitting porch over 500 sq ft. You can cook as any meals as you like in your full kitchen with gas stove and all ammenities. Bringing the kids? Walk over to the the main house (where we live with our kids) and enjoy the playsets and toys. DVD library, book library and small applicances are also in the main house for you to borrow during your stay. Breakfast is included in the 2 BR cabin price, but please ask us to quote you without it if you choose. We can also rent the cabin out as a one bedroom if that is all you need. My husband and I (far left and far right) are the proud new owners of Vista Valverde. We searched Costa Rica for almost 10 years to find the right setting to live and raise our family. Although I was born and raised in Manhattan, and summered in the Catskill Mountains, I spent many happy years in Ocean CIty, MD and wanted the beach at my footstep. My husband wanted San Jose where he grew up, and hates sand. How could we ever find the right place? How did we ever find each other?! When we headed to Costa Rica for our annual trip last year, I told him this was it. We are finding a place to live and we are moving and that is it. 10 years? Together for 17? We had already opened a Bar & Grill from scratch in the middle of Brooklyn, had 3 kids, 5 hamsters, a dog and and several rounds of fish tanks. We must have agreed on SOMETHING in the past! So property hunt was afoot yet again. We were looking in the mountains but I kept saying I wanted to SEE the beach at least, why couldn't we have the view of the ocean that we get around every bend in the road???? Then we went to Vista Valverde. My husband walked to the end of the house and said 'You wanted a view of the Ocean?' We did not say much after that. The realtor (Paradise Management) and the owner graciously showed us the rest of his beloved home, which I know he was sad to leave, we got in the car, we left. Sometime later I turned to my husband and casually voiced… 'I could wake up to that every morning'. And with my husbands slight way of showing agreement, curled the corner of his mouth and said he could too. And here we are.
Just the sense of Peace is endless. View, space, privacy, comfort, kids love it too! The weather is perfect year round, 75-85 degrees by day, 60s by night. And close to wonderful town of San Ramon which I fell in love with and I have seen a lot of Costa Rica, not to mention the rest of the world. Getting married? Having a family gathering? Rent the whole place and let us be your hosts!
There is something for everyone year round, and events are only more beautiful with our Pacific Ocean backdrop. Christmas is the whole month of December, and joyous in the nearby town along with the famous year round open market on the Fridays and Saturdays. And we are close to everything in driving distance. Arenal Volcano, with its Lake and Hot Springs are all less than 2 hours away. San Jose is 1 hour away (Art Museums, huge Children's Museum, Gold Museum, National Theater, shopping, Zoo) ferry to Pacific beaches and Nicoya Peninsula are just over an hour away, the airport is about 45 min, and even the Cloud forest is pracically next door!
