I own J. Peterson Homes, a high end homebuilding company based in Grand Rapids. My family has been vacationing in Leland for years. Highpoint is the second home we have built in town because we love the proximity to all the incredible amenities Leland has to offer. Highpoint is, of course, located at the highest point in town on Second St. near the school, The Leland Country Club and the Leland Lodge.
The home features a main floor with a full covered front porch and open floor plan with tons of windows and natural light. Upstairs offers three bedrooms, two baths and a laundry. The amenity level will rival any high end vacation home in Northern Michigan with wood floors, Wolf and Sub Zero appliances, quartz countertops, painted inset cabinets, Kohler plumbing fixtures, surround sound, flat screen tv's and much more. The lower level is fully finished and gives the kids and overflow guests a place to hang out with a media room, bathroom and guest bedroom.
A short two block stroll or bike ride brings you to Main St. where you will find shops, art galleries, bookstores, restaurants, the grocery store, the Leland Marina and of course....Fishtown. Two beaches are in very close proximity with Nedows Bay on North Lake Leelanau three blocks to the east and North Beach on Lake Michigan just three blocks to the west. We provide two kayaks and five bikes for your use.
A short drive will bring you to other quaint towns and villages on the Peninsula, spectacular golf courses, wineries, world class dining, bustling Traverse City and 'The Most Beautiful Place in America, the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. We will be completing this home in the Spring of 2014. I will update this site with under construction photos.
