Casa Bechteler in Molini di Trioa is a south facing stone house in quiet location on a south facing hill ( 2 West terraces, 1 East terrace and a small south facing balcony). In 1-2 minutes you can reach pubs, grocery stores, chemist’s, bars and end-up right out in the countryside or at the bus stop. 2 play areas for kids (1 with pool) and all are merely a few minutes away by foot. The house has a well equipped kitchen (with e.g. coffee and espresso maker, cake maker, toaster, large fridge with freezer compartment, gas oven). The living area comes with satellite television, books, a fireplace etc. You can go on some great hikes near the house, e.g. along the river to the 300 meter elevated area of Triora, in the Maroni forest or to the mountains. The nearest Mediterranean beach is located in Arma di Taggia (15 miles away, free communal beach with blue flag for clean water). We are free immediately. You may help yourself to as many of the sweet grapes that grow here as you like.

Molini di Triora is located at a height of 400 m at the meeting point of various mountain streams. The historical town has kept its infrastructure and is surrounded by forest and mountains, which rise up to peaks of over 2000 m. The excellent cuisine in the town is treasured by the locals. Those who dwell on the coast like to move here to enjoy the clean air, clear water and natural surroundings. Molini di Triora is accessible via a well built road through the Argentina Valley. Our house is located on a height at the edge of town (after you go past another house you are right in the countryside) and despite this, it still offers the comfort of a town location with short paths. There is no traffic near the house because it is off the main thoroughfare on a narrow street (parking opportunity according to the parking situation, 1-5 min from the house). The bus stop is located only 2 min away from the house (bus connection to Arma di Taggia, from Arma di Taggia there is a train service).

Notes: The home offers space for 7 people, but it is ideal for 4-5 people. For couples: small reduction in the price (see prices). The division and furnishings are as follows. Ground floor: bath with seating bath and bidet, bedroom with double bed, open-plan bedroom with sofa bed, stairs area with narrow winding staircase to the first floor. First floor: bedroom with double bed and South facing balcony, room with fold-out double sofa bed and access to the partially covered western terrace. Second floor: living area with access to eastern terrace with well fitted kitchen, table and chair set, upholstery and western terrace. Equipped with gas central heating, Sat TV, stereo system, books, loungers, hammock, washing machine, iron and ironing board, garden, BBQ, fireplace, 2 old bicycles, children’s bed and high stool, all windows towards the south. Extra sweet: from the middle of September to the middle of October we have ripe sweet white grapes in and around the house. Eat as many as you like!

Day trips etc.: Hanbury Garden near Ventimiglia. Artisans village of Bussan Vecchia (take the right exit between Arma di Taggia and Bussana). Palms and botanic gardens as well as the old town of Sanremo. Triora with its panoramic location and historical buildings, and the Ethnographic Museum. A drive over the middle or upper coastal road between Mento and Nizza. Visit Monaco for a day. The historical locations in the Argentina Valley are embedded into the unique landscape. Near Molini di Triora, the river has created impressive rock formations (from Molini di Triora in the direction of Colla Langa, park the cark near the first sharp left bend, a half an hour walk on the flat walkway, then turn right down into the canyon). The many passes and trails are very interesting and full of variety and you could head for weeks in all directions without getting to know all of the trails.

Bathing: The free communal beach in Arma di Taggia (15 miles) is very flat and therefore is recommended for children. You can swim there from the middle or end of May until the beginning of October. At the children’s play area in Molini di Triora the river has been blocked off to create a bathing area (clean mountain water). The courageous among us can also swim in Canyon (see day trips above).

Hiking and mountain biking: You can go hiking directly from the holiday home, to Andagna through forest landscape, to Triora through rich terraced landscape (300 m) and towards Corte (Path through the forest, along the river and then through the terraced landscape). Monte Ceppo (1627m) is reachable from Molini di Triora via the well constructed Colla Langan pass and offers a great view over the sea and the Alps by way of a gentle climb (approx. 1 hour). The highest mountain in Liguria, Monte Saccarello (2200m) begins from Vedeggia, and is only really for experienced climbers (approx. 3 hours). A Dutch, German speaking family in Montalto (just over 1 and a half miles to Badalucco) offer guided walking tours. We will be glad to put you in contact with them. In the surrounding area around Molini di Triora you can find a number of non paved private trails which are closed to the general public. These trails are ideal for mountain biking.

Wir haben uns in der "Casa Bechteler" in Molini di Triora so wohlgefühlt, dass wir das Haus für diesen Sommer wieder gemietet haben.
Das Haus ist sehr charmant, toll sind vor allem die Terrassen und die Blicke über dorf und Berge. Es ist komplett ausgestattet und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.
Die Vermieter haben uns mit den vielen und guten Informationen, ihrer Freundlichkeit und Zuverlässigkeit sehr geholfen, einen schönen Urlaub zu verbringen.
Molini ist zum Wandern und Baden super gelegen, das Dorf ist lebendig mit guter Infrastruktur (Läden und Restaurants).
Rundum empfehlenswert!!!

Unsere Töchter wollten baden, mein Mann lieber wandern und es sich gemütlich machen. Mit dem Urlaubsziel Molini di Triora sind alle auf ihre Kosten gekommen. Die Wanderwege, z. B. zum Ort Triora durch die Terrassenkulturlandschaft oder entlang von Bergbächen und durch Almgelände mit würzigen Kräutern sind wirklich einmalig. Wir haben uns sogar dazu durchgerungen, unsere großen Töchter alleine mit dem Bus zum Strand in Arma di Taggia fahren zu lassen. Sie haben es genossen. Auch in dem Ferienhaus haben unsere Töchter ihre Rückzugsecken gefunden. Auf 3 Stockwerken und mit 3 Dachterrassen ist das kein Problem. Morgens in 2 Minuten frische Semmeln holen zu können und trotzdem in einem ruhigen, gemütlichen und gut ausgestatteten Haus mit Nähe zur Natur zu wohnen, hat mir besonders gefallen.
