When not used as a special events venue, Tatum Acres can be rented for private use. If you are wanting info for a special event, please contact Debbie Ley as she is the wedding coordinator for all special events at the farm. Rates are different for special events.
Tatum Acres is a beautiful farm and offers two housing options on the property: A quaint cottage with 3BR 2Baths with sleeping for six. (one Queen, one full and two twins) A fireplace, hardwood floors throughout, and granite counters make this an inviting place to come for a visit. There is a no pet policy in the cottage. There is a front porch with ceiling fans to enjoy the mountain views during the day and the spectacular stars in the evening sky along with city lights of Atlanta 60 miles away. Enjoy coffee on the screened porch while watching the deer and other wildlife meander through the property.
The custom barn has sleeping for 8. The master bedroom has a spectacular antique 4 poster queen bed. One bedroom has 3 twin beds and is separated by the other bedroom with a sliding barn door. The third bedroom has a full size antique bed and day bed. All the bedding is upgraded, with most beds having down duvets, for a most relaxing night of sleep. (One queen, one full, 4 twins) The kitchen is fully equipped, an under counter ice machine, gas stove with a food warming drawer and a convection oven. All appliances are stainless. There is a beautiful custom dining table with benches that seat 12. The outdoor fireplace is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, watch the sunset and see the deer come into the pasture to eat. A fire pit is a great place for eating s'mores and watching the stars.A picturesque place indeed.

About Lynda Tatum
Doug and I purchased the farm in 2000 when it was nothing but a beautiful piece of land. Being a former interior designer, I designed plans for the barn and house and we built them over the course of the next couple of years. We lived in Big Canoe and then moved here to raise our 4 children and make fabulous memories.

Why Lynda Tatum chose Big Canoe
The view is spectacular, the weather usually mild, and what a fun place it was for all of the kids to finish up high school and to bring friends home to from college! We have enjoyed BBQ's, college football parties and special memories including our daughter's rehearsal dinner at the farm. The barn and cottage have become a part of our family and represent fun, warmth, love and hospitality. We feel so excited about the opportunity to extend these things from our family to yours. We hope your memories there will be wonderful!
What makes this barn unique
Custom outdoor fireplace, fire pit and smoker that makes the outside a wonderful place to entertain, and long range views that are breathtaking. Having 75 acres to call your home for a few days is a special treat. Big Canoe is next door so that if you are having more guests than my farm will accommodate, homes can be rented in Big Canoe also. Who knows, you might just fall in love with the area and buy your own mountain home in Big Canoe!
