The apartment is located about 200 meters from both the Jardin du Luxembourg and the classic Montparnasse brasseries. The metro, bus, Velib, and AutoLib are all literally just steps away.
I'll meet you in the neighborhood, get you settled in, and be available throughout your stay to answer any questions or help with any problems.
My family and I stayed in the apartment Thanksgiving week. We were 4 adults and 1 9 year old. The apartment was great. As others have said, the place is unique and plenty spacious. Our week in Paris was cool and rainy so we didn't take advantage of the garden. During warmer times, I'm sure it would have been a very pleasant place to spend time. The master bedroom flows into the main room giving the space a nice open feeling. You close off the bedroom with a wall-sized sliding panel which, on the main room side acts as a screen for a projection TV system. While we didn't end up using it much (too many restaurants to explore), the kitchen was well stocked with appliances, pots & pans, cooking utensils and place settings.
This was our first trip to Paris so I can't compare the location to any other place in the city, but I can say that for us it was great. We were just steps away from one metro station and just another block from another station that was an easy connection to the airport. We were within steps of anything we might want or need: restaurants, cafe's, a market and a boulangerie for our morning croissants.
Josh was an excellent host. He accommodated our late arrival without a problem (luggage issues at the airport). When we arrived at the apartment he met us at the door and gave us the details of the space and the neighborhood.
If I get the opportunity, I would certainly stay again and would definitely recommend the apartment to friends.
We visited Paris for a week in July with our 3 kids (ages 5-15) and my mother. It was a busy week of sightseeing for us and this home was the perfect base. The home is very comfortable and well appointed, plus lots of cool artwork all around. Having our own garden in a city like Paris is a great luxury.
The location is perfect. A Velib station (bikes) and Metro station are right outside the door. Groceries, Patisseries, Brasseries, Cafe's, Ice Cream, pharmacy, movie theaters, are all within a block of the house (plus some great children's and women's clothing stores). Being able to amble through Parque du Luxembourg, just two blocks away is a soooo nice.
Josh, the manager of the property is very helpful and I will recommend this apartment to anyone I know visiting Paris.
Note that furniture and bedding is very "modern" and low to the ground. Not appropriate for people with difficulty getting up and down. But it is a ground floor apartment so no stairs.
A unique and lovely apartment perfectly located in Paris! Just spent three days with another family and the space was great. It was quite large (by European standards), it was extremely clean and quiet while being in the heart of the city. Very ideal for a larger group of people. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
A group of four or us stayed in this artists apartment for two nights.
We were blown away by the attention to detail in every aspect of the interior, from automated shutters, sliding doors, champagne in the fridge to a cabinet of house slippers. The Location of this apartment is wonderfully central and we found it easy walking distance to all the sights.
This apartment is brilliant as a little luxury home away from home. We felt wonderfully Parisian.
A great and very spectacular apartment with own private garden and the best location in Paris! This apartment is an attraction in itself...
We spent five nights here and couldn't have been happier. The apartment is really a creative wonderland, and we felt instantly at home. All the amenities, everything of the best quality, but still a "home", and we loved getting to live here for a little while. Also, it could not be better located. We walked to the park almost every day, and to Saint Germain for fabulous dinners. We'll definitely stay here again the next time we're in Paris. Thanks!
