Overview

Central Lake Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 7)

This rustic log cabin is the perfect northern Michigan retreat for you. It is rustic, yet clean and comfortable. You will feel like you are 'up north.' The cabin sits on 203 feet of secluded frontage. There are no homes directly to the south and a wooded barrier to the north. Most of the opposite shoreline is undeveloped. In the morning, you will hear the loons on the lake. You will enjoy beautiful views of the lake during the day and on those moonlit summer nights.

In addition to the beautiful frontage, there are several championship golf courses, restaurants, wineries, and quaint shops nearby. Traverse City is just 40 minutes away and Charlevoix is only 20 minutes away.

Intermediate Lake is an all sports lake. The lake is six miles long and offers excellent fishing for smallmouth, largemouth, walleye, pike and panfish. In addition, it offers great watersport activities. It is the southern most lake in the upper chain of lakes. This lake warms up much faster than some of the surrounding bigger lakes. It runs parallel to Torch lake. Torch lake is listed as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

This property has a swim platform, nice stable dock, lawn furniture, picnic table, and a fire pit. A row boat is available for guest use. We have a great beach area with lots of sand for the kids. The lake bottom is sandy with no weeks. The beach offers a gradual drop off. The bottom is 5' deep at the end of the dock (72 feet out). All in all, it offers great swimming for the kids. Sorry but pets are not allowed.

Also, we have a newer 15' crestliner fishing boat with a 4 stroke 25hp engine available for rent. This boat is a fishing machine with scotty rod holders, live well, casting deck and many more great options. In addition, we have kayaks available to rent. Please ask about the details and pictures if interested in either of these.

For 2013 we have added wireless internet.

Excellent for little kids

  • 4 of 5

We stayed mid July and had a great time with our 2 little children ages 2 & 4-1/2 years old. Don't let the log cabin fool you; it's very nice inside and has enough open space if it rains for kids not to climb the walls. Adequate bedrooms and beds are decent. The beach, swim area, dock and swim raft are perfect to enjoy the water and no muck! This is not a cold lake so as long as summer is warm its great for swimming. Traverse city, charlevoix and Petoskey/Harbor Springs are all reasonably close. The towns of BellAire and Central Lake are great to grab a bite to eat or an ice cream. The fishing on this lake is great and fishing from the dock kept our little ones occupied for hours. I'd defiantly recommend this as a great place to stay.

Great, peaceful Family Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We stayed a week with four kids at this cottage. It really is very secluded and peaceful. The Cottage is old but updated very nicely and is very clean. The Lake and beach area is nice and got a lot of use from the kids, especially the swim platform. The sand in the water area is a bit soft and starts to get weedy roughly halfway down the dock. We rented the fishing boat, which is a great little boat, unfortunately the fish didn't cooperate very well, but it was August. We took a day trip to Young State Park, which is, IMO, the best swimming spot in Michigan for kids. Were very likely to return.

Nice Place!

  • 5 of 5

The wife & I went went with her sister and husband for a fishing / get away trip.

and we had a great time , the cabin is in very good shape, can't say anything bad.

The fishing was pretty good even though the conditions were bad.

We had the best luck just south of the cabin around the islands.

We had a 21 ft deck boat and had no problems getting to the dock.

The boat ramp is on the other side of the lake, but not far to drive.

I would go again, but we bought a camper.

Thank You Todd for a great time!!

Our Favorite Vacation Spot!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this cabin five times and are making plans for our sixth. Always an enjoyable experience. It is in a secluded location surrounded by trees with a beautiful view of Intermediate Lake. The cabin is very clean, comfortable and modern. The kitchen is well equipped with a variety of dishes, pans and utensils. Wi-fi and cable TV are a definite plus. The town of Bellaire is only minutes away with a grocery store, movie theater, a nationally known brewery, and many interesting shops and restaurants. We always look forward to spending a week in our home away from home.

intermediate lake log cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have stayed here a few times already and will be back next year. The house is very nice and clean. The lakefront has a sandy beach and a nice dock. We like to fishing and this lake is good for that. Also there are all kinds of wildlife and birds, bald eagles across the lake. It is so peaceful, no cottages too close. We really enjoy it here. The town of bellaire is nice too, some good restaurants. You can also take trips to Traverse city, sleeping bear sand dunes, and lake Michigan. Owners are great to work with too.

Fantastic Lakefront Paradise !

  • 4 of 5

My family of four had a wonderful week here. Excellent beach and swim area. First class dock and swim raft. Great firepit, flagstone walk ways and picnic tables. The location is awesome. Nice mix of shade and sun. Very private compared to most lake frontages. It's an older log cabin, but updated nicely. Our kids absolutely loved it and we hope to return next year.

Owner's Response: Thanks Brian, We've had tons of nice letters left at our cottage but I've never made the effort to get reviews posted on our site. Really appreciate it, Todd.
