Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 7)

This rustic log cabin is the perfect northern Michigan retreat for you. It is rustic, yet clean and comfortable. You will feel like you are 'up north.' The cabin sits on 200 feet of secluded frontage. There are no homes directly to the south and a wooded barrier to the north. Most of the opposite shoreline is undeveloped. In the morning, you will hear the loons on the lake. You will enjoy beautiful views of the lake during the day and on those moonlit summer nights.

In addition to the beautiful frontage, there are several championship golf courses, restaurants, wineries, and quaint shops nearby. Traverse City is just 40 minutes away and Charlevoix is only 20 minutes away.

Intermediate Lake is an all sports lake. The lake is six miles long and offers excellent fishing for smallmouth, largemouth, walleye, pike and panfish. In addition, it offers great watersport activities. It is the southern most lake in the upper chain of lakes. This lake warms up much faster than some of the surrounding bigger lakes. It runs parallel to Torch lake. Torch lake is listed as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

This property has a swim platform, nice stable dock, lawn furniture, picnic table, and a fire pit. A row boat is available for guest use. We have a great beach area with lots of sand for the kids. The lake bottom is sandy with no weeks. The drop off is about 56 feet out. All in all, it offers great swimming for the kids. Sorry but pets are not allowed.

New for 2009 we have a 15' crestliner fishing boat with a 4 stroke 25hp engine available for rent. This boat is a fishing machine with scotty rod holders, live well, casting deck and many more great options. In addition, we have a kayak available to rent. Please ask about the details and pictures if interested in either of these.

For 2013 we have added wireless internet.

Fantastic Lakefront Paradise !

My family of four had a wonderful week here. Excellent beach and swim area. First class dock and swim raft. Great firepit, flagstone walk ways and picnic tables. The location is awesome. Nice mix of shade and sun. Very private compared to most lake frontages. It's an older log cabin, but updated nicely. Our kids absolutely loved it and we hope to return next year.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Hey thanks for the great review. You are the first person that ever did this on line. We've had so many nice letters left at the cottage but no review (I don't think the option has been available all that long). We thought we would make a scrap book of letters for the rentors to read but never got around to it. We are headed back on Saturday. Cannot wait !!!
